Carnlough Cottage was a family home for many years and then became a holiday home for my family when we moved to the States. It has a fantastic location in the village since it is just a few steps away from the harbour and shops. However, Carnlough is a small, quiet town so this does not mean that it is a busy area. Leaving the property on foot, you can turn left and walk up to Cranny Falls, the Quarry or the mountain lakes or turn right for the harbour, high street and the coast road and beaches. Many of the properties in the village are fairly small and consequently have small rooms. This property has food sized rooms, being of a more modern period of construction, and the top floor has a very nice room with two single beds. It is ideal for two kids that want their own space. The internet speed is excellent and the property has Smart TV's throughout. There is off-street parking on the forecourt but also plenty of free parking outside. Larger vehicles can use the Spar carpark nearby. Having been a family home, we have not stripped it bare. If you need a pair of scissors or an envelope or a more comprehensive array of cookware, you will probably find it here. It has provided many years of memories for my family and I and has been used to introduce countless American friends to the beauty of the Glens Of Antrim. It is in the middle of one of the world's most scenic drives that begins in Larne and goes all the way up the Northeast coast to the Giant's Causeway and beyond, consistently featured on motoring shows such as Top Gear.
