Cupar is ideally placed to travel around Fife..
We mainly visited St Andrews as our great nephew was attending the university.
We dined in St Andrews for all our meals so we cannot say anything about dining in Cupar.
There seems to be plenty of choice when venturing around as to what and where to eat should suit many a healthy appetite.

This is a lovely location and Gillie is an excellent host.
This is a lovely location and Gillie is an excellent host. The rooms are all on the ground floor, lovely and very comfortable and overlooking the garden which is several hundred metres from the road down a private lane. This is a high standard b&b and the best accomodation I have stayed in when staying in the fife area.

This is a small town with big personality. Fantastic restaurant, ( courtyard, no 10). Lovely independent shops. Fascinating architecture. And so near to many lovely places: Teases gardens, Kelly Castle, Falkland Palace, Pittenween coastal town, Ely beach.

Cupar is a historic town dating back to the 7th century..
Cupar is a historic town dating back to the 7th century.. An excellent and authentic example of Scottish tradition in particular around the area where Cupar Burgh Chambers is located. Visit the museum next to Cupar Station. Crossgate is it's main axial road and has everything you need. Fisher and Donaldson have two bakeries in the town - a small one in Crossgate and a tea room next to the large Tesco. Try their stovies, fudge doughnut or a marzipan fruit or Belgian biscuit but lot's more!! A wonderful base for exploring the beautiful Fife countryside with it's quaint villages and St Andrew's itself - get a bus and try some whiskies there!!" The Fife Folk Museum in the nearby village of Cerus is very interesting and has a tea room. The Deer Park a must go to venue with lots to do and see for all ages.

Cupar is a nice place. Friendly locals.
Cupar is a nice place. Friendly locals. Convenient for St Andrews and the East Neuk. I enjoyed my dinner at 'The Press' (venison and smoked Applewood lasagne) and lunch the next day at Fisher and Donaldson (stovies).

Cupar or Ladybank are both good for connecting trains.
Cupar or Ladybank are both good for connecting trains. Cupar is well worth a visit and a return HOWEVER we use this area to stay to enable visits to the whole area and its coastline and even for day trips further North or Glasgow/ Edinburgh.
Extremely comfortable, quiet apartment centrally situated in the heart of Cupar accessed by what seemed to be a medieval lane. The decor is superb and artistically created to mimic a ski lodge by some very talented people. Fireplace and flat screen TV were magic. Facilities were great. Well detailed instructions were sent prior by Monty who was available should there be questions.
We would like to thank Bob & Pauline for making us feel like a member of the family, what an absolutely superb BnB, the accommodation and services provided were fantastic, we have been fortunate to have stayed in some exceptional hotels around the world, and in our opinion this family run BnB is on par. Would highly recommend and definitely stay there again!...
Traveled to Cupar from Caithness by motorbike, Westport was just a 2 minute walk from the bike shop where my bike was getting serviced, my room was comfortable and clean, I had dinner and breakfast from the cafe which were both excellent, the staff were very friendly, I would definitely stay again as it was just so convenient for my needs.
Good location - Cupar is a nice base for exploring Fife, interesting in itself, well-cared-for, and plenty of shopping. The property, unusually, is a bit more spacious than the photos suggest and the kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, etc. Everything was clean. Beds comfortable.
Excellent location and very quiet. Gillie, our host, was fantastic and our breakfast was spot on. Very clean throughout the property. Parking was no problem and was within the grounds. Within easy reach, by car, of Cupar and larger places like St. Andrews and Perth.
Excellent, it is like a boutique hotel. Very comfortable, very well decorated, you can feel like you are sleeping in the paradise. The owner is very friendly, paying attention to all the details, taking care of the gests.
The location is great, really close to St. Andrews or other places in Fife. The place was very clean indeed and nice a roomy. The hosts were helpful and contacting back and forth was simple and smooth.
Very well situated within Cupar for shops restaurants and local transport. Very spacious but cosy and warm and loving the old nostalgic building. A wonderful experience to spend a few days in.
The location was very convenient, close to the main streets in Cupar. The apartment was very comfortable, nice and warm as the weather wasn't great for May.
Light and airy, comfortable and good supplies. Clean and great locations for me to walk round the town. Was home for a family death in Cupar, so was ideal.
