Cooked breakfast at in-house cafe was good and filling, lots of veggie options. Family room was very spacious. Old hotel, a little tired but with character. Secondary glazing worked well to reduce traffic noise.

Breakfast was generous and served promptly. It is right in the center of the town. You can walk to shops and to restaurants. Callander isn't what it used to be; fewer nice shops. However, there is an excellent cooperative art gallery and a gift shop "Hashtag" just a block from the B&B.

Nice, very safe, well kept, small town with good shops & restaurants, not far from Stirling. Although Roman Camp Hotel is very secluded, it’s actually on the Main Street, on the banks of the river Teith.

Callander is a lovely little town with plenty of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, take-aways and walks. The fisheries are beautiful, plenty of benches to sit at and walks around it.
I had a fish supper from the Frying Dutchman which was superb, and the second night ate at The Riverside Inn which was equally as delicious. All very good prices.
The wine shops are lovely and little gifts shops and plenty of cafes.
The Family Room was absolutely beautiful and so much bigger then we were expecting! The shower was so fancy too, even had body jets!! The bathroom itself was all modern and nicely done. The tea/hot chocolate and cookies were a nice touch as well. The location was excellent, 5 minutes from food and Icecream! We enjoyed the waterfall hike behind the hotel as well. Overall I would recommend this place, especially if they upgraded to more modern mattresses!
The location of the Dreadnought hotel is excellent. It's an old hotel which has been there since1870, it's a nice building and has lots of character.
Our room was spacious and clean with a terrific view onto the main street and the river and meadow just across the road.
There's free parking and price wise it was very reasonable. Although its by no means a five star we had a very pleasant stay there and do intend to stay here again
I loved staying in this well designed guest house, which I would definitely call a hotel rather than a guest house. There were some lovely surprising amenities available during my stay. Location is great although parking can be challenging at times. Host (Jan) is great, very welcoming, helpful and kind throughout my. Breakfast was gorgeous with good selection.
I would definitely stay again if I happen to be in the area.
The apartment is in a quiet alley right off the center of town. It is an extended attic including a seating area, kitchen, two bedrooms and two showers. It is very convenient and cozy. As a nice added touch, there were also board games, children's books, guidebooks and pamphlets (not advertisements), and the owners recommended bars with live music nearby.

The hotel is in a very good location, just a 7 minute walk from the main bus stop in Callander and with the twin room placed quietly out the back.
Good decor, contained menu for breakfast and very helpful hosts.
Our beds were very comfy and the shared bathroom is very good - huge!
Lovely wee apartment which was extremely comfortable, had everything you would need for a short stay and was spotlessly clean. Easy to find and in a good location for exploring Callander and the surrounding area. We'd definitely stay again and would also recommend it to others.
Even tho is called a hostel is more a hotel standard! For fourpeople we rendered a pod and a room and tehybqhere both amazing! View for the pod is beautiful and you have everything you need there. Very close to Callander City Centre so + for that as well
We have stayed here twice now and it's a cracker! Excellent value for money, lovely breakfast, rooms have everything you need, comfy beds. Clean and nicely decorated. Definitely our fonto hotel for our fishing trips to the local area.
Lovely hosts who made our stay very enjoyable. As soon as we arrived, Deon made dinner reservations for us as it was about that time. Excellent breakfast as well. Convenient to Stirling Castle (if you have a car) and local hikes.
It’s a spacious family home, with all the facilities you can wish for. The views of the mountain are amazing. Callander itself is a very central place in the Loch Lomond area. Callander is a nice town. The host is very friendly.
Really nice building with great staff. Very good breakfest and it has a good restaurant for dinner (a bit expensive compared to other dinners in the area). The room with the bath was excellent.
We really liked our room, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty and the hotel is in a great position for walking into Callander. Thoroughly recommended.
