Beautiful place. Super quiet. Great for walks.

Beautiful place. Super quiet. Great for walks. Very dark at night. Just the one pub but there’s more life (including a fabulous little pizzeria, Berto’s, serving delicious pizzas to eat in or take away) in Moretonhampstead, which is a short drive away. WiFi (in the property) but no mobile phone signal. Essentially, North Bovey has all the joy and trappings of any small village. For some, it’s peaceful escapism; others may feel isolated and bored, especially without a car. I loved it for a short summer break.

The approaching roads are sometimes single track and not for the nervous drivers and no pavements so not ideal for walking. This location is perfect to get away from it all and recharge
