The ambiance and excellent food exceeded our expectations.
The ambiance and excellent food exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and fully equipped. The only negative was the bed was slightly smaller than a double which was a shame as a king size would have easily fitted.

There are some lovely parks in Swindon that if you are staying for leisure are worth a visit; Coate Water near junction 15 of M4; Lydiard Park near junction 16.
The Town centre isn’t much to write home about, but a visit to the Great Western Train Village and Museum is very worthwhile. There is also a Macarther Glenn designer, Outlet Centre that is easy to get to with ample parking. At the outlet centre, we enjoy eating at Wagamama's. If you venture over to Greenridge, there is a Fiesta de Cuba restaurant. The meals are great and the price is very reasonable. We find just having a main is ample. It’s our favourite restaurant. Swindon has great transport links to reach surrounding areas; Cotswolds, Oxford, Bath, Bristol and Chippenham are all within shouting distance.

East access to nearby attractions, the M4 and major roads.
East access to nearby attractions, the M4 and major roads. The town itself, both the Old- & and New-town, is a little faded and run down in parts but overall fairly vibrant. Very good range of restaurants to suit most tastes. The pubs I visited were all warm and friendly with decent beer. Never any problems walking around the well signposted town daytime and evening. Overall a surprisingly interesting place surrounded by outstanding areas such as the Cotswolds, the Marlborough Downs and several classical English villages

I stayed in Swindon as a convenient location for visiting friends and family in Oxfordshire and Wiltshire. Easy to get around. Plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. Also Steam, the museum of the GWR is an enjoyable place to visit.

I was only there for one day to meet up with friends. I used to live there many years ago but much has changed since then and it has grown much bigger. Swindon has some railway heritage to discover and an outlet shopping centre. It is also a good location for exploring the area around it.

Actually my home town, good and bad, but that's the case for most towns.
Plenty of pubs and restaurants.
Plenty to do and see if you take the time to investigate the area.
Plenty of beautiful countryside within a short distance of anywhere in Swindon.
I can't fault this hotel for the money. The room was spacious and very comfortable, the bar, lounge and leisure facilities were great and the staff were polite and friendly. It is a very big hotel/conference complex and I imagine it would be busier and more expensive when events were on, but for the price I paid, it was excellent value for money. There is also some lovely countryside to explore around it - The Ridgeway and Barbury Castle. A few minutes drive into Swindon and Marlborough too.
I am a regular Worldwide user of hotels and serviced accommodation through Booking.com and this location was one of the very best. Excellent room (en suite) free parking right outside the property, free high speed internet and an excellent breakfast to boot. DO NOT waste your money on a hotel chain if you are staying in Swindon as this has everything you need (at an extremely competitive price) I will be using this place again on future business in the area.
Room size was good. Bathroom was a good size too. Location to the city centre. Keys are in a keysafe so you can come and go from the property. There are a lot of kitchen gadgets to use. It was a quiet location despite it being a HMO of possibly 5 rooms. Was able to check in earlier. Co-op next door. Bed was comfy enough, just needs moving from its current position.
Cosy is in a great area between the town centre and Old Town .Its nice and quiet and there is a lovely pub at the end of the road plus lots of Restaurants near by .Nice big bathroom and bed room and everything you need in the Kitchen and plenty of options for the TV .Full central heating and even a wood burner and easy parking
Really lovely hotel, nestled away in the countryside, but minutes away from Swindon. The buildings are lovely and maintained to a high standard, although still maintain plenty of character. The staff were all consistently really friendly and extremely helpful and made such a difference to the stay.
Breakfast food very good, staff friendly and helpful, this hotels breakfast buffet is very disjointed and it was the second morning before we discovered some elements.
Nice room good facilities and equipment level. clean
Bed comfortable if a little small
Location. Permit parking. Excellent, pleasant and friendly housekeeping and front of house team.....(one exception)*
Character....quirky.
Still.preferable to characterless hotels at the other end of town.
Big room, comfy bed, safe in the room. Free tea and coffee in reception, good welcome. Located within walking distance of town centre and station. Buses from right outside to almost every part of town.
The hotel was excellent, super clean, new and the best part was that they accepted our dog and were really friendly with him. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. We would definitely come back.
Inside the hotel was very clean. Breakfast was lovely. Melanie in the restaurant was wonderful with our kids and very welcoming. Room was lovely and clean, housekeeping staff were very nice.
One of the nicest hotels in Swindon. Very well appointed room, good facilities and the gentleman at reception gave us free cupcakes on arrival! Free parking was a nice touch as well.
After seeing previous reviews I was pleasantly surprised at how good this hotel was! I would stay here again and would recommend it to others for a short stay .
Excellent staff fantastic couldn't fault the hotel Excellent for a few drinks after your day out good location right In centre of Old Town been few times before
