Landlady could not be more accommodating, went above and beyond for us. Location was very easy walking distance into town for the celebrations. Beds nice N comfy making it a struggle to get out of in the morning. Tea/Coffee making facilities and was very quick to offer help with an iron and ironing board.

Small town vibe.
Small town vibe. Very vibrant and l enjoyed the delicious cuisines. I don't like the fact that everything shuts down at 6pm even on a weekend.
The closing time should be looked into, especially on the weekends.

Bit tricky to find town centre.
Bit tricky to find town centre. Cobbled streets are lovely but not ideal for wheelchairs. Nice individual shops and eateries. The park and ride signage remains but is no longer running. Parked in York car park. The exit to town centre is on level 9 but no signage

A huge range of shops and coffee houses.
A huge range of shops and coffee houses. Everything is close walking distance of The Angel Posting House Hotel; 2 maybe even 3 shopping malls, so even if its raining you can shop. Unusual shops, one off shops and designer shops.
Information Centre in the High Street, very helpful and got a map of town and surrounding area within walking distance. We parked outside of the town on housing estate as parking limited and expensive in the town. We walked from there along the river about a mile into the town centre.

Lovely city.
Lovely city. We lived a few miles away until recently, so coming back is great! great shopping area, although covid etc has had an effect on shops.
Love the high end shops, G Live, pubs & restaurants.
Parking is expensive, so P&R is better, south of town or at the leisure centre.

This hotel portrays a high class in all of its advertising...
This hotel portrays a high class in all of its advertising stating that its staff make your stay special. I found the staff rude which is no surprise when the management do not even come back to you after complaining. The MD is no where to be seen despite being copied in on all correspondence. The whole set up needs reform starting from the top. Better places to stay in Guildford than here who will treat you as valued customers.
Fabulous location.
I have been visiting this hotel since mid 1980s.
Major major expansion and developments since I was last here 5 years ago.
Immaculate gardens.
It is possible despite what google maps and the hotel information to arrive at the entrance by public transport.
From Guildford Friary bus station which is very near the train station take the Dorking Compass bus.
15 mins ride.
Sue is a friendly, available and organized host. Her house and the room were really clean and quiet. The room is a studio with all utensils and amenities to cook, including fridge, microwave and oven. Mattress are really confortable. Central location in Guildford, close to public transport. Stay in family in the 3-person room/small studio with windows on the street.
On the outside this is a beautiful historic building in the very centre of Guildford shopping area. Location to the Station was very good - that was my reason for choosing this hotel as had a very early train to London.
My room was a junior suite - lovely space, comfortable big bed,
Lovely hotel within a walking distance from High Street. Friendly and personal reception. Good breakfast in a relaxed dining area. Room was clean and comfortable and the shower was excellent! Good selection of tv stations.
Highly recommend this hotel in the lovely town of Guildford!
An ancient hotel built 120 years ago, characterized by: cleanliness and tranquility, large and beautiful gardens in the middle of the forest, the size of the rooms is excellent, away from Guildford, the beautiful city, 10 minutes, a city worth visiting, the taxi value is 15 pounds
I loved this hotel. Everything was perfect. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It was quiet, spotlessly clean and comfortable. My luxury room was luxurious. I genuinely can’t fault it and will be back like a shot if I am called to Guildford.
The hotel is incredibly run down - doors, floors, bathrooms. For the money, this was unacceptable. I stay in many hotels being an expat now and this is the most run down hotel I’ve stayed in in Guildford for a long time.
Fantastic place, after recently staying in a spate of different hotels, this has certainly been the best. Very welcoming upon arrival, rooms extremely clean, well decorated and with a mira shower system.
I found the staff to be very friendly. My room was well equipped and comfortable. Booking in and checking out was very efficient. I'll use this hotel again if in the area.
Love the hotel , receptionist argumentative and unhelpful. Duty Manager Marco great guy , did all he could to help a misunderstanding on the hotels part.
