Portobello has a large variety of cafes & bistros, restaurants, bars and takeaways both on the beach front and on the high street. Portobello High Street is home to a mixture of high-street shops and independent shops, offering something for every occasion. GETTING AROUND There are all the usual options available in the city: taxis, Uber, buses and tram. Buses Lothian Buses travel regularly from Princes Street to Portobello and from Portobello to Princes Street plus no 26 bus directly to the zoo. The buses are clean and reliable and if you use the Lothian bus app, its journey planner will get you round the city.
