If you come to Scotland, you must visit the Isle of Skye. If you come to the Isle of Skye, treat yourself and stay at Storr Apartments. The location on the side of the lake is amazing, the views are mindblowing (as stated, you can see the Old Man of Storr out of the window at a certain angle). While there, make sure to do the Quaraing circuit hike and the Old Man of Storr hike (some sites say that if you must choose, pick the first one, but I would say make sure to do both - they can be done on the same day like we did). Both are easily accessible from this place. The pictures of the apartment do a good job showing everything as it is - it really is completely wonderful, comfortable, relaxing, and hard to leave.

The location was literally within view of Old Man of Storr. You could step out your door and see it (see photo). We got up at 5 a.m. and had a 10 minute drive to the hike. It was perfect! The setting is unique in that there are only 3 rental properties that have a view of Old Mann of Storr and this family owns all of them. They run a first class operation and the amenities are exceptional in all respects. The house was stocked with snacks, food, drink, fresh eggs, lovely soaps, lotions, his and hers bath robes and slippers, heated floor in the bathroom, and more! Fiona was extremely helpful and responsive. She answered her phone and responded immediately. She also texted us to let us know that we could view the northern lights on one evening. So thoughtful! This rental is a dream destination and one you could just stay in for the sheer pleasure of being pampered. Bucket list must!!

What an amazing place to stay. We rented both apartments and had a wonderful time. The apartments are beautifully designed and spacious. Right across the road from the Loch with lovely views and really peaceful. The added groceries were a pleasant surprise and made for a tasty breakfast the next day. There is so much to do on the Isle of Skye and one of our favourites was driving around the peninsula, breath-taking.

Stylish, well equipped apartment in a wonderful location a short distance from Portree. The host was easy to communicate with and so thoughtful with the extra touches. From the moment we booked, we received a lovely message from Fiona. Just a message to say thanks for booking and if there was anything we needed prior to arrival. We also arrived into Portree a little bit earlier than expected and she let us know that the apartment was ready before the check in time. Upon arrival we were greeted with some chocolates and fresh flowers. There was also milk, butter and orange juice in the fridge. There were so many little touches that made everything so personable. The apartment is situated perfectly close to all amenities and sight seeing. The only thing I wish we could have done was book for longer! It was such a relaxing and beautiful apartment. We are already looking at booking again, if you are in any doubt because of the rare negative comment then please don't, just book and I promise you will not regret it. Such a beautifully unique apartment! The location is unbeatable as you can see part of the Old Man of Storr from the apartment. The amenities were amazing and the host provided snacks and kitchen essentials which made our honeymoon stay extra relaxing.

I could tell from previous reviews that this is a special little getaway, located perfectly in a remote area not far from Portree and an easy drive to a beautiful hike at the Quiraing. The apartment is stylish, cozy and perfectly appointed. We had more food than we could eat in the well appointed kitchen. The washer and dryer allowed us to refresh our wardrobe mid trip - I wish I’d packed less! I can’t recommend the Storr Apartment highly enough. I hope to be back!
