Unfortunately Maidstone has been ruined by some awful planning decisions. The shopping has degraded thanks to the challenges for towns nowadays. Maidstone is a particularly bad sufferer. It’s a mess. The far end of Week street is a place to be sure to avoid.

My stay at this hotel was extremely unsatisfactory.

My stay at this hotel was extremely unsatisfactory. Considering the cold room, dreadful breakfast, unclean amenities, and health concerns, I would rate the hotel poorly, perhaps 1 out of 5. It's clear there are substantial issues that need urgent attention for the hotel to meet basic standards.

I love that the picture of Maidstone is actually of Aylesford, a village approximately 3 miles away from the town (not aware it's turned into a city yet) and where I grew up. Maidstone town centre isn't massively scenic but they could have posted a picture of the amazing park they have - Mote Park.

I was there to see my son - we knew where to go The hotel is good for motorway access. Maidstone has some ok restaurants but places like Harrietsham and Lenham offer better eating opportunities - but it’s a good base if you are there to explore Kent -Leeds castle is near by - Hastings Whitstable Herne Bay all easily accessible

Traffic ghastly: overcrowded, bad-tempered - frequent infringements of lane discipline and red-light jumping. It's just a traffic sandwich. I remember the stately old County Town of 50+ years ago and am sad to find it in such a sorry state - just too crowded for agreeable lifE. But we found good pubs and fish'n'chips! D

I liked the location and chose this hotel in between my work travel because of the pool as i like to keep my fitness regime. Only to get there and find out pool is not working. This should have been made clear in your site. Disappointing.

I find this property adequate for my needs is situated in a desirable location close to town and amenities. I find the landlord has very good people skills and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and provide anything that is needed to fulfil your stay. We have enjoyed our stay at this property so much that we have returned a few times I would continue to return in the future. The room is clean it’s quiet

Exceptional service from the receptionist Ivete and the reception manager, they were extremely helpful, even giving us a lift into town when a taxi too too long to arrive. The last time we stayed at the Great Danes they also gave us umbrellas🌂 Excellent service all round Bed was very comfortable Breakfast was good, just the eggs were over cooked

Absolutely stunning . Its close enough to the town centre to walk back to after either a day shopping or a night out . Once you enter the property it’s hard to believe you’re staying where it’s situated. It’s a little hidden gem. We will definitely stay here again. Parking is easily accessible and reasonably priced nearby.

The little cabins all face onto a grass area, so unlike a hotel you can leave the door open for some fresh air. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good. We didn’t have evening meal but the menu did look appetising. Good value, about 10 minute drive from Maidstone. Plenty of parking. Dog friendly too !

We got a very, very good price for big, comfy room. I didn't expect much after previous reviews and while it's a bit tired, it was exceptional value and perfect for a quick night's sleep. Typical 3 star chain hotel room at a hostel price
