Wrenbury is a great little English village with two traditional pubs situated next to the marina and canal tow paths. In the main part of the village (about 5-10 minutes walk) there is also a shop. Its a lovely place to spend a few days

When you first walk in everything is so clean and tidy, there is tea, coffee and milk on the table along with a bunch of fresh flowers. There are numerous little touches that make it special. We went out to The Secret Bunker which was very interesting and to Shugburys Ice Cream Farm, which was great.

A quiet first-floor apartment over the Marina office.
A quiet first-floor apartment over the Marina office. Walk the canal towpath. Venture out into the local area using the parish walks. Visit Chirk and Powis Castles. Llangollen has a lovely railway, Chester (walk the wall) is close too. Portmeirion village is worth the effort on a sunny day-trip taking in Snowdonia! Two good pubs very close. Good village shop. Look out of the window or sit on the bench and watch boats come and go. In summer Martins constantly dive into the Marina workshop to feed their young. Relax, enjoy!

We were staying in a location relatively near Chester to visit relatives so village amenities weren't a priority but the village has a shop and two pubs within easy walking distance and lovely walks along the canal.
