Worst service ever. No table available for evening meal, room was freezing cold, one small heater in bedroom was off on arrival and took ages to warm up. We loved this hotel and it was great for kids. Great facilities and pool. All of the staff were lovely and the food was very nice. The hotel is alright, rooms are spacious and bed comfortable. The price is misleading, because you'll probably will go there by car, and you'll have to pay the parking. And breakfast is highly overpriced for what it is. They have a policy from the lockdown times to NOT TO CLEAN THE ROOMS! So they save money on cleaning staff, but if you go to Reception and you ask them to clean your room or, at least to take the rubbish from the bins, you'll be asked to put it in a bag and leave it at the door! So do not expect any extra effort on the customer service side. Is a take it or leave it. A pity that nice facilities are so badly managed!

The car park is open to a public park and looks shabby on arrival. The reception area is nice and the bar pleasant. My room was large but the bathroom was dated, no pressure in the above bath shower head. Struggled to get hot water from sink to shave so reverted to boiling the kettle.Andrew

The hotel is a beautiful old house that is family owned. The breakfast was superb, cooked to order from a menu. I can't eat gluten and not only was that no problem, the evening receptionist remembered a remark I made about being able to eat there and passed it on to the staff for the following morning. That's a first for me! We will return

Breakfast was buffet style and good value with choices. We also ate in both the restaurant and bar. The bar meal was particularly good. We stayed for 3 nights while visiting family and found the location good with easy access to M5. This is going to be our first choice hotel when we visit the grandchildren from now on.
