Curly Curves, hotel in North Woolwich

Offering a garden and quiet street view, Curly Curves is located in North Woolwich, 9.1 km from O2 Arena and 10 km from Greenwich Park.

The location of Curly Curves is very good taking to consideration that geographically Woolwich is far from the downtown. After 12 minutes walk to the Elisabeth line, you can get to central London in less than an additional 30 minutes, and to Docklands in 10 minutes. If you want to use the bus to shorten the initial walk - the buses are just 4 minutes away. While some people were complaining about the bathroom not being private, it actually is just for you. Saying so, it is not en-suite, but that was never promised. To add to the positives - the TV allows you to watch both Netflix and BBC (although it should be positioned higher), space is quite generous (compared to hotels in London) and the bed comfortable.

DoubleTree by Hilton London – Docklands Riverside, hotel in North Woolwich

Located along the River Thames, DoubleTree by Hilton London - Docklands Riverside offers 4-star accommodation and stunning views of Canary Wharf.

Comfy beds, attractive historical building (hotel itself bit of a maze and rooms very average). Ferry service handy but hotel isn’t easily accessible, we arrived between 7-8 which just happened to be the hour ferries weren’t running, had to sit and wait an hour with no other ways to cross river.

The apartment is spacious for 2 people, the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was not very clean, there was no toilet paper, and it was a strong smell of mold. One of the sliding doors of the cupboard is broken, so one can not benefit from the full space inside it, but it was not a problem for us, for such a short stay. The bathroom was very cold, the heating system is not very efficient in the bathroom and kitchen, but very good for the rest. The kitchen and bathroom would benefit from refurbishing and some updating. The cooker is old and quite dirty and there is no microwave. Also, there were no towels, so if you plan to rent this kind of accommodation consider bringing your own. There was no lining for the couch in the living room, so if you bring extra people, consider bringing that too.
