Very functional… there was everything we needed. Room equipped with iron, iron board, kettle… hair dryer. We did not expect that as usually at low budget hotels it is not provided. The property is nicely furnished in modern style and very functional. Place for children to play was a pleasant surprise. Staff extremely friendly ( loved the cleaning lady - so welcoming and lovely)

Ideally located just off M6 Junction 31, Preston Samlesbury offers accommodation with a fully licensed restaurant, separate lounge bar, 24-hour room service and fully equipped gym.

The wonderful and efficient young lady named Ella (or Ellie?) who procured me such a magnificent breakfast (see below for complaints about the Sunday breakfast arrangements!) The comfortable, well-appointed room and comfortable bed. The efficiency of the young ladies who served the sandwiches for lunch on Sunday. The Conference which I had convened went smoothly and was very successful.

I was visiting family so that was good, It has tried to be a cafe society and there are some nice small cafe's and artisan bars but the people are depressing, seem happy to walk round eating burgers and drinking cans of beer. like all towns lots of empty properties, charity shops etc. Will be good when the Harris museum opens again next year.

I only visit when I have to, visiting family.

I only visit when I have to, visiting family. I have made several trips over four years. First impression was of a grubby town, streets and public spaces covered in litter. Sprawling industrial parks on the outskirts. Ubiquitous pavement parking makes it dangerous pulling out of residential side streets. I have found little of cultural interest to do in the city, apart from the museum, which has been closed for refurbishment. No decent venues for live music or theatre that I am aware of. Easy enough to get a basic and pleasant meal from the usual restaurant chains. I haven't made much attempt to research into more interesting venues for eating out, apart from RK dining which is great for vegetarian/Asian takeaways. I think there is a good range of different cuisines if you look for it. I guess the University is Preston's saving grace from being a purely industrial town. It is reasonably easy to navigate the city centre on foot or by car, and regular buses. It does have a good number of well maintained and accessible public parks, and a good walking route via the Guild wheel. Brockholes is a good place for nature, although close to a motorway. A range of pleasant areas of Lancashire countryside are a short drive outside city.

    Preston is a lovely town.

Preston is a lovely town. I visit because I have close family there, but I wouldn't say it is a hub for tourists. There are fantastic attractions, like Hoghton Tower, and the downtown area is very quaint. When with family, we usually go to a great fairly local pub or other restaurant for lunch/dinner, and there are plenty of those with great food and ambiance. I love going for walks in the local area.

Beautiful little apartment in the heart of Preston. Greeted by a nice tidy courtyard which led to the main entrance. All amenities provided for including tea and coffee which is always a bonus! Only stayed for a couple of nights but couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay. If you get a chance to stay I highly recommend this over any local hotel unless that's your preference. Will definitely be staying again (if available) when I visit on business.

Breakfast was probably the best cooked breakfast I have ever had in a small UK hotel. Location was initially concerning as it was on the main A59 trunk road and opposite the BAe factory but in fact the room ( at the back) was very quiet and the road and factory caused no issues despite our stay being mid-week. But the staff were the best thing! So friendly and welcoming and smiling. Helpful and polite but convivial.

Lovely modern apartment with great facilities - especially the bath😍 The apartment was nice and clean and the bed was super comfortable! Short walk into Preston city centre. No car park on site but there is a car park a 2 minute walk away (£10.00 for 24 hours). The sweets and biscuits in the room were a nice touch and the complimentary upgrade made our day. We would highly recommend 😊

The hotel is a 7 minute walk from Preston city centre and is also convenient to the rail and bus station. There is also a car park on site - we were able to get a space even when we arrived back late. The hotel itself is modern, with large rooms and very comfortable beds. The breakfast was excellent but would benefit from having mushrooms available.

Very friendly welcome, and my bicycle was kept safe in the house. The room was large, clean and very comfortable with tasteful decoration. And the windows opened wide which was great in the heat (and rare for a hotel!!). On a main road but not noisy. Great breakfast. Short walk into the centre of Preston. I would return if in Preston again.

It was an excellent location for the works meeting I was attending and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Also plenty of free parking. Although adjoining the pub and restaurant there was very little noise. Although the hotel seemed fairly busy, there was very little noise from people within the hotel and had a great nights sleep

The hotel was a traditional non-chain establishment in suburban Preston. Care had been taken to clean it very well and the room plus areas I saw were spotless. The service on arrival was everything I needed. The full English breakfast was excellently presented, well cooked and tasty. All staff that I met were cheerful and professional.
