Property information

Kudhva is a 43 acre off-grid accommodation experience which boasts 180 degree views of the North Cornish coastline. A rugged slate track (please take it slow) leads you to our car park, from here you walk up the track into a willow grove and our reception building, where you will be warmly welcomed by our front of house. Kudhva is an abandoned slate quarry, turned sustainable holiday destination, but it's wild and rough terrain remain - we welcome adventurous travellers and curious hardy folk to join its splendour. Pack to suit; waterproofs, head torches, sturdy footwear and backpacks are all recommended. That's not to say we don't throw in a touch of luxe. The Danish Cabin is truly one of a kind. It’s a 1:3 replica of our iconic Engine House, that sits above our 40ft waterfall, tucked away amidst the woods, with views toward the old slate quarry beyond. Tucked into its own little valley and a short distance from our waterfall sits the Danish Cabin, which sleeps six. It’s a 1:3 wooden replica of our Grade II listed Engine House, stripped back for simple, adventurous living. Set within a secluded, deciduous woodland, the Danish Cabin has its own stream running underneath its private decking space. It’s a little trek across the site to get there, which isn’t always easy, but the serenity that awaits makes it worth it the extra effort. It comes with fresh bedding and towels for up to 6 guests, and has two single beds downstairs (sofas by day) and a four-bunk cabin space upstairs. It is also fully off-grid with it's own compost loo close-by. The Danish Cabin is the perfect space to enjoy the great outdoors with family and friends. A few minutes walk away you will find our communal showers, additional loos and solar powered reception building, which hosts a large and well equipped communal kitchen, lounge area and dining space. Filtered water runs on tap direct from our own natural source. Stroll to the beach along the old miners path or enjoy some wild swimming i
