Food was amazing.
Food was amazing. Lovely bathroom products and lots of personal touches made the stay memorable. Good location for visiting many sights. Main drawback was no overhead ceiling shower due to ceiling height, so shower had to be handheld, which made hair washing tricky.

Hawkhurst is a small town, but has the amenities you need such as supermarkets and shops. It is ideally situated for a number of attractions in the area, such as Sissinghurst, Bodiam Castle, Great Dixter etc.

Nice country pubs and easy to find shops. Waitrose and Tesco are very helpful and off the main street. Great scenery nearby. Nice people. Grocery and petrol stations near by on the same street if you need them. We had a Family Room which is all that was available. It was spacious and comfortable. The shower was in the bathtub. Charming, welcoming hosts made me feel completely at home. The barn is well equipped for self-catering and is spotless and well maintained. Ideally placed for visits to Great Dixter and Sissinghurst. I loved my stay here and would definitely return!
