There is lots of interesting places to visit and many good restaurants. Pity one can only really eat one dinner per evening! It's a compact city with all sites that one may wish to visit in easy walking distance for the able and lots of public transport for those who are not. Also, they have a free bus that one waves down to take you on a trip around the city though we didn't use it.

Good restaurants and as a meat eater would recommend El boeuf a la mode. Worthwhile to visit early in the day the fresh produce market in the city center. Although not in the city center a visit to Bernardaud to see Limoge porcelain is worth it, despite the fact that, the prices are exorbitant. The countryside around the city is worth exploring with a number of small towns including close.

Being an experienced traveller around various parts of the world,I can recommend Limoges as one of my favourites. The people are very helpful, most spoke some English. Getting around is easy due to a very efficient public transport system. Many and varied eating options, bars, without getting ripped off!
Only downside to Limoges is,there is no public transport into the city,so a taxi each way (28-30 euros)
3/4 days is adequate to see the all of the major sites (the porcelain museum is a must)

Three days is about right to leisurely enjoy Limoges, which is very accessible as a pedestrian to the central area. My only comment if planning a stay would be to note that the majority of museums are closed both Tuesday and Wednesday.

You could see it in a day so two nights was perfect and although I always pass Limoges on train journeys I was pleased I stopped and gave it a look I would not go out of my way for a visit but I felt very safe and it was remarkably clean

Nice city with interesting history. we stayed a couple of days on route to our holiday destination and stayed in the North of the city good for restaurants, bars and shops. City is too big to "do" in 24 hours.
Probably one of the best places I stayed in France. Very clean and comfortable. The host of the property, Sylvie met me at the apartment and gave me a tour of the place. She provided me with many extra items upon my arrival, brioche and home made jams etc., a few days later, homemade deserts! She even gave me a tour in a little village outside Limoges and showed me a museum of contemporary artists in the region. I would not have known if she didn't take me there. It made my visit to this town special. I will come back again!
I took the train into Limoges and the location of the hotel was perfect. Had a great view from my window. Good breakfast too for a reasonable fee.
A special mention to one of the staff, Arwine. It's the staff that help make a guest's visit memorable and she was incredibly helpful when I experienced a problem I was trying to solve. I was relieved she could speak in English because I can't speak French when stressed! She went above and beyond in her assistance so a huge thank you to her!
Superb reception staff. Our train came in an hour earlier than the reception opened and the guys there let us in an hour earlier than they needed to.
Also they printed out our boarding passes and sorted us an airport taxi.
I'd highly recommended this place for the staff alone.
The location of the hotel is great for the train station and the downtown limoges area.
The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and the aircon works really well.
We'd definitely stay here again
Akexandr he was sooo kind! We stranded with our car in the middle of the night and although it was extremely busy due to the tour the France he helped us with everything … managed a room .. brought us a coffee exactly what you need at such a time .. the bed was soo comfortable the room was clean and very quite … perfect !!! It was near the railway station where we could hire a car and near the city to eat something
The staff was lovely, friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean. Not too far from train station. Nice neighborhood with an organic grocery store nearby. It is also around the corner from one of the funkiest bars we've ever encountered Bar Le Limousin. Breakfast was lovely with a large selection of goodies. Overall It was comfortable enough to allow us to enjoy Limoges.
The hotel is easy to find as it’s close to the A20
It’s clean, and tidy with few frills but as it’s an ibis this isn’t unexpected.
The staff were extremely helpful and helped me with my embarrassingly poor french.
The restaurant was more or less closed with only a snack menu available but the food was hot when it hot to us snd most importantly the bar was open
I like having a hotel close to Limoges airport to relax before and after a flight. The breakfast is buffet service with hot and cold drinks, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurts, cheese and pastries. Helpful staff, Comfortable beds, quiet area and parking all around. I use trains and Limoges Taxi serves the airport (call or make reservation online first.
Easy, non-contact check in with code, no fuss. Was only a problem when guests arriving at 2am thought our room was theirs and woke us up playing with the keypad repeatedly. Huge apartment. Comfy beds, including the sofa bed. Quiet. Plenty of food options nearby. Perfect stopover apart-hotel.
The hotel owner was super friendly and gave great advice about what to do in the area etc. The hotel is in a lovely old building and is tastefully decorated. Location is fairly quiet but within 10 minute walk of the city centre.
Receptionist was lovely. Hotel is very basic and rooms are small and could do with updating a bit. Decent size car park and lots of restaurants, etc nearby. Close to Limoges centre which is worth a walk round. Nice little town.
Has everything you need. Clean, easy and convenient.
The bed was comfortable and the shower nice.
The was free parking in front of the hotel - not many spots but we were lucky to find one as we arrived.
it was very close to Limoges but felt off the beaten path. it was so comfortable and clean. but what made it exceptional was the history of the property and the wonderful hospitality of the host.
Despite staff shortage, the staff that was there were very friendly and did a great job. They managed to run the hotel as well as they could, despite lack of needed staff.
Rooms were clean.
The hotel was very smart, on an industrial style estate with more than enough eateries close by
Very close to the motorway
