Location was the only good thing with this stay, but having been in Villefranche many times (this one the 3rd this year), I'd rather walk longer from the bus than stay here again - until this hotel is updated with regards to:
> beds (horrible standard)
> cleanliness (now mission impossible as very outdated and scruffy), ouf!!!
> missing hooks in the room, we had to hang jackets on door handle...
> bathroom, terribly cheap interior and even if recently (?) renovated it was already in a bad state, with broken shelves and shower constructed in a way that made you stand in high water as if it was a tub etc (+stupid small things like the soap container installed just above the toilet roll... no comments)

We absolutely loved the penthouse. It was beautiful, comfortable, and well equipped. It is quite high up on the hill so be prepared for that. The views are absolutely stunning!!! We stayed six nights, and they were our favorite part of our 35 day trip to Scotland and France. The balcony is immense and the views at different times of the day and night were magical. We did not want to leave. We had some trouble getting the door unlocked the first time, (pull back slightly to get it unlatched), but the property manager responded quickly and came to help us. It was an adventure figuring out how best to go down to, and get back up from the town center at first, but with some help from the Tourist Info. center, we learned how to use the little bus, #80, which helped a great deal! Otherwise it is 475 steps which takes some stamina! Our bus driver was so friendly and kind, he was a real pleasure to get to know. This place is amazing, we highly recommend it!

The location was exceptional. We could get to all the places along the Riveria easily. Ville France Sur Mer is a perfect place along the waterfront with many wonderful restaurants . The view off the terrace was breathtaking! Our host, Julie was great! She was very helpful in finding our way around & stayed in touch throughout our visit.

Fantastic location, amazing view, seconds walk from town and all amenities. Great communication from the host who went above and beyond to accommodate us. The photos do not do it justice. Comfortable furnishings, air conditioning. Enough space for my wife and I and our 1 year old - though there is enough space for a larger family without being too uncomfortable. There are a few reviews on here noting the noise from the restaurants late at night - this was not an issue at all and we were there in the peak of summer. I would 100% recommend basing yourself at La Bellevue and doing day trips to the surrounding towns if you must, but we could have easily just spent the week in Villefranche. We will definitely return. Thank you for having us.

The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Villefranche-sur-Mer this weekend is $211 or, for a 4-star hotel, $489. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Villefranche-sur-Mer for this weekend cost around $2,752 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
It is just such a beautiful place. Maybe not so suited for elderly or disabled people because there are a lot of stairs down to the vibrant area of the port and beach where most of the restaurants and bars are located. We had wonderful meals and drinks in great bars and loved sitting close to the water to eat our meal !! There is a little shuttle bus that can take you down from the top to the bottom but it only goes once an hour!

Very hilly withy difficult driving. Suggest renting an automatic car.
Eze was worth a short visit. We ate in a bistro just down the ro0ad from the hotel. Getting around is NOT easy. It would be better being lower down the mountain to make walking more possible

It's a beautiful area and there are several cafes and restaurants to choose from.
Lots of interesting walks and also lovely beaches where the sea is calm which is great for children.
Recommend Plage La Mariniere for young families.
Unfortunately, Hotel Villa Patricia is not recommended- until there is a change of management. Terribly unprofessional manager at the moment (September 2023).

The place you want to live in if you love the city but also love to be away from tourists. Of course you're going to see tourists all over the French Rivera but Ville Franche-Sur-Mer has this vibe and energy I cannot describe, but it's just something else. It's magical and lovely.

What a fantastic village on the Riviera!
What a fantastic village on the Riviera! We loved the accessibility to everything, and gorgeous old town. The restaurant scene was exactly what my family was looking for (we travelled with children ages 11 and 5). We chose Villafranche based on reviews of the sandy beach at Plage de Marinieres, which did not disappoint!
My family did rent a vehicle, and parking was fairly easy for us. There is a large public (paid) lot down by the beaches that offers easy accessibility to the old town and restaurant scene. I'm not sure our experience would have been as thorough had we not had a car to take us to different areas. The walking around the village is more than some may like due to the elevation (for long periods of time), and the bus schedules can vary. Also, Villafranche is quite central to many desirable areas on the east side of the Riviera, and was great for day trips by car. We also visited St. Paul de Vence, Old Town Nice, Eze Village, Menton, Monaco, and even went into Italy one evening for a meal.

Maybe one of the most beautiful towns we visited in the south of France or anywhere for that fact. Wonderful views, narrow streets, high end restaurants but also excellent cheap restaurants.
It is a must visit for anyone in the area

The location of the apartment was fabulous situated at the top of one of the main streets of the old town with easy access to all the best of Villefranche.
The apartment is comfortable and practical with a quirky decor. The shower is great.
The best thing about this property though is the host Sonia who goes out of her way to facilitate your stay. She helped us when train woes and strikes made journeys too and from the apartment difficult. She is a joy.
At last, a Hotel with real people running it! Fabulous location in the harbour with much boating activity and processions of Super yacht tenders. Villefranche Sur Mer has great restaurants and bars so you can’t go wrong there either. The hotel rooms were made to look and feel like boat cabins which worked really well. The balcony was perfect for sipping rosé and watching the world idle by. Thank you Welcome Hotel team, you made a great memory!
Perfectly located in the old town of Villefranche, yet still within a 7 minute walk from the train station, so it made day trips to other parts of the French Riviera very convenient. The apartment was spacious with lovely furnishings, very comfy bed and well-equipped kitchen (we didn’t get to use it since there were so many great restaurants to try nearby). Would 100% recommend, and would happily stay here again.
The hosts met us in person and were lovely, helping us understand the amenities of the apartment. The location is perfect between the town of Villefranche and Saint jean cap ferret. The bus was located right at the apartment so it was a quick walk to town or a 2 minute bus ride when we were tired. The hotel pool is nice and the beach is just a short walk away.
Great location - sea front, very nice staff, very clean rooms. The hotel is situated directly at the sea front at the little marina of Villefranche-sur-Mer. The staff is so nice and friendly, breakfast on the terrace with sea view is great. Free parking near the hotel at the public parking spaces was no problem at all. We would stay there again any time.
This is a charming and historic hotel run by 3rd generation family. We got a top floor room facing the sea harbor and the cliffs to the west. It was basic, serene and delightful. We could have paid 30 euros more to have a sea view, but we opted to spend that on a nice meal instead : )
Parking near by is free.
It had a washing machine, nice kettle and toaster. Bed was comfortable. right at bus stop which was good. we took the bus to Monaco and to Nice. parking lot (paid) not too far away. Fabrizio, the agent, was very friendly and spoke English. he gave us some good suggestions of places to see and eat.
The bus stop was right outside the front door. Our hosts were always ready to serve us drinks or coffee. The view from our hotel was lovely. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting other guests at happy hour and breakfast. I felt comfortable, like it was my own home.
the view was out of this world! the apartment is large and had everything we needed. the patio facing the sea was the best part! the kitchen had every appliances and more! it was quiet, and easily accessible with a car! we will return 🥰
Family run business with small cafe/bar on the main floor. Bar was closed by 9 pm so there was never an issue with noise. Bus stop 100 m from the hotel, lovely restaurants 500 m to the east. Staff was very hospitable and friendly.
The Location of this apartment in beautiful Villefranche sur mer is amazing! Sunny in the morning with shutters to keep you cool 😎. An amazing view minutes from the train station and all the restaurants and bars 🍸 👌
The hotel has fantastic views over Villefranche-sur-Mer and is well located for both Villefranche-sur-Mer and Nice. The service is exceptional and the pool and jacuzzi are a perfect alternative to the beach.
Well-equipped apartment located in between Villefranche, Beaulieu, and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Multiple beaches are within walking distance, and a good supermarket is a 20-minute walk. We enjoyed our stay!
Everything was more than perfect! The hotel, the staff and the rooms. Staff was very helpful special thanks to biba and maggi. The owner is so decent..definitely will go back next year!
Great view, clean revurbished rooms. The whole hotel is amazingly situated on a rock with outstanding views. They had their own parking lot which was a big plus.
