One of the reasons we travel and stay in small B&Bs is to meet and talk to people from other countries, so it was a great pleasure to return to Pascal and Estelle 's welcoming comfortable home. We thoroughly enjoyed having breakfast with them and putting the world to rights, and there was the added bonus of delicious home made brioche and home made jam. We appreciated their attentiveness and help in finding somewhere to eat in the evening. Hope to return.

Le Refuge des Anges is 1 km from the centre of Presles-et-Thierny and a 14-minute drive from Laon Cathedral. It offers free Wi-Fi access, a garden and terrace. This B&B has a heated guest room with a flat-screen TV and a wardrobe. The private bathroom is complete with a shower, free toiletries and a hairdryer. Guests are invited to enjoy breakfast every morning in the dining room. This property is a 17-minute drive from the A26 motorway and 36 km from Soissons. Free private parking is available on site.

Not far from the gates of Laon, there is a picturesque village with old lanes and houses. This is PRESLES and THIERNY, Ranked floral village. The church of the thirteenth century castle and take you by the hand and leads you into the distant past of the city of Laon and its cathedral. In this regard, every year in June, unfold the "Medieval" which plunge many visitors into life in the Middle Ages. As you walk through the history of the last century, you can experience the dramatic hours of the "Great War" by visiting the sites and battlefields near the Cave of the Dragon on the Chemin des Dames. Closer to home, you'll discover the surrounding lakes and forests crisscrossed by numerous hiking trails. After a short break in our beautiful region, you can relax in the "refuge des Anges". Hello everyone, visitors to our BOOKING page. We are in a small village with a church of the XIII century and a manor house which has just been renovated. There is no shop because it's a small town & floral village. Otherwise a quarter of an hour from our house, there is a Center Park surrounding a large lake. There is also the well-named "green road" which is surrounded by tree, with a few ponds and Vauclair Abbey. For the war story interested there will ==> The Chemin des Dames, The Cave of the Dragons (museum) military cemeteries ... and many other places !!! .A 8 km from Presles et Thierny, is our beautiful cathedral which can be visited only if accompanied both single (es) of a person explaining the history of the Cathedral and its ramparts that surround the plateau Laon (old town) of either side. The ramparts, the evening falls, the lights come on and now appears that what we call here the Crowned Mountain. The monuments are as beautiful by day or night. Good visit
