Food at hotel was nice.
Rooms were basic and uncomfortable.
At 150 Euro per night it was vastly overpriced.
At that price I wouldn't stay again.
At 40 - 50 Euro per night it would probably be worth staying if taking the Camino del Rey trail.

Ardales is a great 2 or 3 night stopover - we loved sitting on the roof terrace at night watching the lights on the church. Our apartment was just what we needed. There's a few restaurants which were all good.

Very nice place with a lot of interesting places nearby.
Very nice place with a lot of interesting places nearby.
A lot of nice restaurants. Normally is parking a big problem, but the appartment has his own parkingplace.
One thing: you need a good condition to visit the restaurants. The most are at the top of the mountain

Visited ardales caves buying tickets on line before as only maximum 15 visitors allowed per day. Meet in ardales museum then drive in convoy up mountain dirt road to the caves. Fascinating guided tour. Need to have fitness level to climb slippery rock stairs inside the cave. The lakes are beautiful.
Relax or take part in water sports.
The hotel is located at a 20-25 minute walk to the caminito del Rey entrance. Since we did not have a car, We were able to sleepover and queue up early in the morning to get tickets. The hotel is also helpful in securing tickets if it is available. The staff was super helpful with recommendations for the area. The restaurant was closed because of Covid and we had to skip breakfast because of the early start. There is also a lake and recreation area close by. I would love to visit again to explore the area.
Apartment is super clean, beds are comfy and all equipment works. Host was very helpful in every way, he helped to reserve the cheap tickets (without guide) to Cominito del rey, we just need to pick up at the counter. Really appreciate his help for our last minute booking of the tickets.
Host responded very quickly with any enquiry, can do laundry with dryer (a rare find in spain) at the bottom of the apartment, just pick the key from the same box of the card. Thanks for the Millan potato chips too ☺️
We loved that we picked this spot to stay to hike/walk the Caminito Del Rey. We were the first tickets in the morning so it was nice to wake up, eat breakfast, and walk right to the entrance without having to worry about taking the bus. It was super easy to take the train to El Chorro and the bus to the hotel both before and after the trek. Do pay attention to the bus/train times though to make sure you don't accidentally get stranded!
The location of the flat is perfect because it's close to everything (small local shops, restaurants, bars, town centre, chuch etc.) but in spite of its central location, it was quiet and peaceful. It's a plus that our bedroom had air conditioning because the days were quite hot in Ardales. I really liked the modern style of the apartament, its cosy atmosphere and its facilities. The terrace is also a plus.
If you are looking 4 star luxury then is not the place for you.
But if you are looking for a clean room and comfortable bed at a reasonable price then look no further.
The hotel is at the edge of a small village and has a restaurant which served reasonably price local food. There are also other restaurants in the nearby village.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a delightful sunny outside space with a spectacular view of the town and the ruins of the castle. the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and the apartment was situated in the centre of Ardales, close to restaurants and with very easy access to other points of interest.
A very modern, clean and comfortable apartment. I have no complaints, it was perfect. The terrace is also beautiful to sit and enjoy the views. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They also own a restaurant in the village of Ardales and I recommend a visit there too. We are already planning a return trip in the future.
Charming,. traditional style hotel perfect for visiting the Camino del Rey. Staff are extremely nice and helpful. There is a bar and restaurant on site and a decent breakfast available to set you up prior to walking the Caminito. Very reasonably priced. Room was quite small, but couldn't fault the place, really.
Good location for hiking the Caminito Del Rey. Our room had beautiful views from both sides. Room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. We decided to have our dinner at the hotel after the hike and it was fantastic. We absolutely loved their zucchini soup!
Very nice accomodation in beautiful small town Ardales close to Caminito del Rey. The appartment has roof terrace with beautiful view. We enjoyed the stay a lot. Easy parking close to the appartment was also the advantage.
We liked the apartment very much and all fittings and furniture of the best quality. The patio was useful and comfortable as well. We have stayed in Ardales a few times in the past but this apartment was by far the best.
.surprizing modern hotel in the heart of the village.
Big, comfortable room with kitchen, many nice common areas, small swming pool and jacuzzi.
Right next to the village center, restaurants and bars.
Location was close to town. It’s a well equipped large family home, bathrooms were great, beds comfy. Ardales is fascinating to explore, many narrow, steep streets and traditional architecture.
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel.
The staff was amazing even before we got there. They got us tickets to the Caminito Del Rey when it was all sold out online.
Breakfast was wonderful.
Nice clean apartment. Did not use the garage, but left the car on the street. Ardales is a cute little town and just a ten minute drive from the start of the Caminito del Rey.
Stunning view of Ardales from the terrace. Very decent restaurant, especially for breakfast. Comfy beds. Perfect for one night stay going to Caminito del Rey.
