The nicely renovated rural house. A family owned and operated with the family rite on site. The dining and restaurant were a distinctly positive experience. We enjoyed some of the best food of our entire stay in Spain. Some delicious and creative offerings. The family were very attentive and supportive.

Gorgeous setting and wonderful and warm hosts. Food was fabulous, beds very comfortable, everything clean and beautifully decorated. Easy to connect and get picked up from the Camino in Palas.
HORRIBLE HOTEL. INFESTED WITH BED BUGS AND NO HEATER IN ROOM. AWFUL SERVICE. NO ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE IN TIMES OF NEED. DISGRACE TO THE CITY. HOPE THE CITY SHUTS THIS HOTEL DOWN.
WHEN YOU CALL THE FRONT DESK, THERE IS NO ONE AVAILABLE AND WHEN YOU CALL ON THE CELL PHONE, THEY SAY HEATER IS BROKEN OR MUNCIPALITY DOES NOT ALLOW HEATERS TO BE TURND ON IN ROOMS.

Of all our stops on the Camino from Sarria to here (...
Of all our stops on the Camino from Sarria to here (currently in Melide), Palas de Rei was the least interesting or exciting. Still, it had hidden gems in a hostal we found to eat dinner (there are not a lot of options) and returned for breakfast on our way out. Also, the laundry mat was a big plus and the driers worked really well. Dried a lot of clothes for 3 euros. Just have to ask around for change. The bar next door and the grocery store behind were so helpful.

A great place to stay, relax , have a well earned siesta after long walk from Portmarin 24.6 kms + Probably quieter in October when we visited but still found a good restaurant "Meson a Forxa" and had a delicious meal after 7 - early for Spanish but filled up rapidly . Lots of Camino walkers took break here.

A small town on the pilgrims way, the palas itself is 7 kilometers away.
Restaurants are very good and reasonably priced. 10 euros are enough for a person per day to be happy and even to try a milk sucking lamb baked in owen.

Small interesting town on the camino trail route (St James), not a lot to see but a good selection of bars and restaurants.
A few shops selling all sorts of things, so you could find what you need if required.
Everything was perfect! Worth a while to make those extra miles from Palas de Rei to get there. It's located on the Camino so next day you make less kms to Arzua. In case of feeling tired and in need of a lift from Palas de Rei, no worries Jorge will pick you up free of charge. The property is beautiful, tranquil and the apartment has all you need during your stay.. and more. The dinner and breakfast are excellent! No doubt the best place during the Camino. We'll be back! Thanks Jorge for everything!
It was an absolute joy staying at Casa Bolboreta, a small family-owned hotel that's a bit off the camino (but they'll pick you up and drop you off). They'll make you feel right at home. The rooms were very nice, but the highlight was the dinner. Absolutely delicious. The owners are putting a nice modern spin on Spanish food and hospitality, with a focus on local ingredients, which is much appreciated when most restaurants on the Camino essentially have the same menu.
Beautiful location, a short hike for us off the Camino and well worth it for the wonderful time we had there. The staff were so friendly, and the food was some of the best we’ve had during our two weeks in Spain. We enjoyed the lovely hike along the river to see the castle, which we also had a view of from our room. The soaking tub was also a HUGE delight for our tired souls coming off a long day of walking the Camino. Highly recommend!
we arrived in Palas de Rei after our Camino walk and called the property and we were collected within minutes and checked in to our accommodation. the lady of the house was friendly and helpful our room was lovely. we ate dinner in the property in a lovely little dining room and the food was really good , very well presented and very good value. beds were very comfortable and bathroom facilities were great. breakfast was really great.
Humberto and his colleagues were excellent hosts. They couldn’t have been more helpful.
You pass the accommodation on the Camino route
4km before Palas de rei. We completed this 4km later that pm and Humberto kindly dropped us off early the next morning at 6.45 to Palas de rei to continue our Camino trip where we needed to begin our day. This was extremely helpful
Comfortable Pension on the Camino de Santiago. Host was very accommodating. We had a comfortable room with private bath on the second level. There's a small kitchen with complementary tea/coffee. A lovely patio, with seating as well as an area for washing clothes if needed (washer and dryer also available on third level, 4 euros each).
The treatment was fantastic and the facilities were extremely clean. The staff was amazingly helpful and overall very kind. The room was quiet, one of the best night's sleep I've had on the Camino.
I also used the laundry service, which was excellent.
Would recommend Hotel Casa Benilde and would stay again myself.
Lovely clean hostel right on the path of the Camino. Private space in room with curtains between beds. Very clean throughout. Bakery adjoined to the hotel which did lovely pastries for breakfast. Large area to wash and dry clothes. Friendly and helpful staff.
Location close to restaurants and shops as well as town square and church. The hotel started operations on 10aug 2023 so everything was fresh and new. A basket of 4 oranges and 4 kiwis were a nice welcome gift. Receptionist is very responsive and likeable.
This hotel is ok.Small room. Great place, located on the pilgrimage route of the Camino de Santiago (El Camino Francés). There is a restaurant with excellent local food next to the hotel. Definitely recommended 🇪🇸😊
Great location in the town centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. Perhaps the hotel needs a facelift, but that did not in any way take away from our enjoyment.
beautiful facility and grounds, the room was the best I have experienced in Spain. service was excellent. I ended up staying an extra day just to enjoy the property!
We booked this hotel last minute while on the Camino and so happy we did. Clean, modern, comfortable and great location. Best sleep we had on the Camino!
