I did a lot of research and the best value for money car hire, and I used them for a month, was Autoreisen at the airport. I went for a cycling holiday, but not too strenuous, and there are a good few miles of relatively flat tracks along the sea front, either side of and through, puerto del rosario. I was a little unlucky with quite high winds, a bit out of character for February/March. Aldi, Lidl and the large chain Spanish supermarkets available in easy car distance. I don't know why but the locals and visitors are much more friendly on Fuerteventura than they were on Lanzarote when i went there for a month last year.

This is a real town for locals not primarily tourists , there less restaurants than more tourist places and they are dotted about the town. It’s got a port and harbour as well as a small beach and a massive shopping centre . Generally the place looks like it’s undergone some improvements, paving, buildings etc , away from the port area there are new , old and abandoned areas all in various stages but I always felt safe. There doesn’t seem to be much nightlife unless we just didn’t find it, even at weekends. We were lucky to be there for the carnival so that was interesting. It’s ideally located to tour the island as we did in our 2 weeks stay.

It's not a fancy touristy town but we loved it.

It's not a fancy touristy town but we loved it. If you prefer to live like the locals and stay away from mass tourism it is perfect. It is also perfectly located to reach both the north, the south and the west it the island.

Warm place and lovely people !! Transport connections are awesome , you have the port and the airport close by . Also they have busses and you can reach almost the entire island . I recommend playa Blanca , not playa Los Pozos . Have fun !!

This is not a resort, but a real, working port.

This is not a resort, but a real, working port. For me, that was the charm - there are tourists here, but most of the people around are clearly Spanish. The front is pleasant to walk along with lots of places to sit in the sun. There are lots of great cafes and bars, too, and a large shopping centre with up-market shops. The Miguel Unamuno house is worth a visit. Nice town.

Puerto del Rosario is a charming small town with everything you need. It has it's authenticity since it is not mainly touristy place, but also everything a tourist might need on their vacation. Nice clean sandy beaches, lots of restaurants and bars with great and not too expensive food, great localy crafted beer, shopping center with lots of choice for buying groceries, clothes, toys, electronics etc. It is well connected to the rest of the island with bus lines, and is also the closest place to the island's airport.

Superb location, nice and quiet given how close it is to the airport. Only 1:40 Euros on bus line 3. Go to sleep to sound if surf, my room allowed me to see the sunrise from my terrace. Beautiful hotel, great staff and architecture with palm trees rustling by entrance. Good food too, nice hot water and you can walk straight from the hotel along the rocky coastline one way and a nice sandy beach the other. Wanted to stay longer but stuck with my plans. Recommend 😃

This is a super clean apartment in Puerto del Rosario. As we rented a car, this was our perfect base to discover the whole island. Looking back I was so happy I had not chosen just one place (either in the north or south) to stay, but this way we could discover all the magnificent playas of the island. The owner of the flat was super helpful, if we had a question he could answer it on Whatsapp right away. I would definitely recommend staying here for everyone.

Laura, the host, is one of the most lovely persons I met in Fuerteventura. She even offered me some Navidad delicious home-Made cookies & a take-away dinner with prawns, meat, Canarian potatoes & wine and I could go on and add more. Her generosity and kindness is touching. thank you once again my dear Laura. I strongly recommend this accommodation. obviously this is not a 4 or 5 stars hotel but well, it depends what you value in life or while on vacation.

These volcanic islands have a wild charm about them, and the climate is a real attraction, but a comfy hotel as a base is a real bonus. I chose right-this one is lovely, really welcoming hosts and very attractive building layout. A small choice of evening meals, home cooked was great for me. Hire car worked well to explore the island, not sure how you'd manage without your own transport-NB it IS rural.

This was a spacious villa. Basic but provided all the things you needed. Quite area. Cleaner came every week to clean, change bedding and provide clean towels. Hosts did respond quickly to any queries. Two supermarkets within a 5 minute walk. A bus stop was also beside these and you could use the number 6 service to go to Corralejo or Puerto del Rosario. Wi-fi ok downstairs and outside.

Only two minutes from the main road to reach anywhere on the island. Puerto del Rosario is centrally located and close to the airport

We only stayed for one night, to be close to the airport. It was perfect for our needs. We booked a sea view room, which I would highly recommend. We had an enjoyable meal and would definitely use this hotel as a base if we were visiting again.

The place is nice and clean except this is not a typical hotel. There is no 24/7 front desk reception. This is more a block with small flats. you have a separate entrance, inside is the room with bathroom. Everything is clean and tidy.
