I want to return to explore more. The hilltop location gives it a real mystique and alot of effort has gone into maintaining the history but with sympathetic additions that visitors can enjoy, like the footprint trail around the village itself.
Stunning views which i'm also keen to experience in winter on the mountain trails.

Comares is a beautiful old fort town with the ancient fortress ruins at the top of the hill. The streets are narrow and steep but everywhere you look there are stunning views. The town has three restaurants and bars as well as a supermarket, pharmacy, baker, bank and hairdresser. It is a fantastic place to base yourself for hiking in the area. Will definitely return for a longer stay.
Petra and Gerten are the most wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble. We had arranged an Airport Shuttle with a late flight and it all worked smoothly and they drove us back to Malaga. A lovely couple with a beautiful place up in the mountains. The pictures don't do it justice, utterly fantastic. Breakfast is provided and swimming pool plus you can walk to several bars and restaurants. There is a local town Comares a bit further with a Supermarket and other restaurants.
Beautiful finca/Cortijo with well appointed rooms in a stunning location just a couple of miles outside the town of Comares. Our room had a big lounge area with wood burner and kitchen and a charming seating area outside with lovely views over the hills. Nice garden area to relax in with a nice pool. Lots of attention to detail. Very helpful and friendly owner and staff.
An amazing location, set in a valley, surrounded by orange and olive groves. Beautiful 360 views.
Our room was clean and spacious with a small balcony looking out up the valley.
We had a delicious breakfast. We didn't have dinner at the hotel but the other guests we spoke to were very complimentary about the cuisine they'd had.
A really interesting visit.
It was a beautiful place with beautiful views.
Sadly, we only stayed one night, but when we return to Comares, we would like to book again for a longer stay.
