Almachar is a very rural spot with beautiful surroundings and constant sunshine. It’s perfect for a restful holiday by the pool but you will need a car to get around and the nearest good supermarket is around 25mins away and the nearest airport (Malaga) about 50 mins away. The town itself is quaint and contains a few small bars/coffee shops but other than that, not a lot going on. Some of the roads were scary to navigate (especially in a van/people carrier) as they are very windy and thin.
