Sant Lluis is the district, the house we stayed at is in Son Gaixo which is a small residential area overlooking the sea. The nearest beach is Punta Prima ten minutes from where we were to the east. which is crowded with all inclusive brits who have clearly been eating too many cakes. It has music playing bars for those who like it lively. To the west of Gaixo are Binincolla and Binibequer which are much quieter and prettier. There is a beach between the two which seems not to attract the wrist band wearing hotel crowd. There are biciyle trails surrounding the towns of the Sant Lluis area which are also walkable as footpaths. There are signs and information boards up about routes at intervals. There are maps and trail books available online and in Mao. there is an Eroski supermarket in Sant Lluis and Mercadona in Mao. Mercadona do deliver to the area.

The route from the airport was a little confusing.
The route from the airport was a little confusing. My advice, don't look for the shortest route but stick to the main roads as all the roads are lined with well built dry stone walls which are very sharp and the route we took was narrow. Not ideal when you are just arriving from the airport, driving on the 'wrong' side of the road in a car you are not used to.

Sant Lluís is a perfect location if you wish to explore this side of Menorca. The Main Street has a few general shops and restaurants with a pharmacy etc. I wouldn’t say it is a picturesque town but a good base to then explore the area. Mahón is within easy distance to drive or by taxi, I have actually walked it! The beautiful beaches of Bini Becca are not far with Port Mahón and Calas Fons (great restaurants) nearby. The fiesta that takes over the whole town in August is a fantastic experience and worth trying to see!

The whole island of Menorca is made up of small towns, Sant Lluis being one. It is very peaceful and beautiful with lots of birds chirping. It is on the Mediterranean and so the water, so sparkling clear, has that gorgeous turquoise hue. Loved it and plan to return.
The whole vibe of this amazing boutique hotel is just wonderful. Chilled, vintage and peaceful with outstanding staff who, without exception, were genuinely friendly and super helpful with all of our questions and requests. The food was superb too and the outside areas are truly beautiful. We loved everything about it!
Hotel is very nice, not too big in a great and secret garden with swimming pool and terrace for breakfast and diner.
Breakfast is very god with fresh products.
Staffs are very kind and welcoming.
San Lluis and Mahon are near about 15mn de road for Mahon.
Little noise finally because of the proximity of the airport.
It was really clean and bright, the bathrooms were nice and also the kitchen. It also has a super nice terrace. Also the location it was not too bad, it’s close to the main city and to the airport so not bad and at the end in Sant Lluis you can find bars and supermarkets even if it’s small.
The staff were excellent, and although very busy, they were always polite, helpful and attentive, making me feel important and valued. The food was excellent and although the hotel was full, it never felt crowded. The à la carte restaurant was truly worth the visit.
We loved everything about Hotel Rural Biniarroca, the beautiful property and gardens, both pools, our room, the hotel’s peaceful location. What made our visit extra special was the staff, without exception everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful.
Clean, modern, staff were all very friendly and helpful. The variety of pool choice and breakfast was brilliant. We were also hugely impressed with how clean and well maintained the hotel was kept throughout the whole stay. All the staff were amazing.
Amazinggg boutique hotel on the most beautiful bay! Perfect location and good breakfast. We were upgraded to a newly renovated room with a view and my goodness I wish we could have stayed for a week longer! We loved our stay so much.
It feels like a proper family hotel but has all the facilities you could want from a big hotel. It’s in a quiet rural setting yet just a 20 minute walk to some terrific restaurants in a nearby village.
Dinner in the restaurant was wonderful. The hotel environs are peaceful and offer excellent walking opportunities. The pool is a lovely area in which to relax.
It felt like home. Alfonso and Marianna were excelent hosts. The breakfast and the meals were better than in a 5-star hotel. The setting was just beautiful.
