The hotel is nicely designed (by the owner himself so he said) and really in style, you would not expect a nice hotel like this on this side of the river. The hot air balloon was really the highlight of our tour in Luxor. No one should miss it along with the visits to the Valley of the Kings, Queens and Hatshetsup Palace. Downtown Luxor was also a must-see specially the old market place and the Luxor Temple and don't forget about the local food.

Luxor's archaeological sites are the most impressive I've ever seen. They are spectacular.
I went in April, in spring, and the temperature reached 38 degrees Celcius. The locals told me that in summer the temperature will be around 50 degrees.
The population appears to be very poor and the city is poorly maintained.

So much !
So much ! Magic Carpet Tours were excellent, organising a wonderful balloon ride, a dreamy sunset felucca trip to Banana Island, an amazing driver called Hassim who took me to the Valley of the KIngs, Hatshepsut's Temple, Karnak, Memnon Colossi, Temple of Luxor, and didn't hurry me at all. He drove me to Aswan the next day via Edfu and Kom Ombo. Luxor is fabulous, busy, lots of street sellers trying to get you buy or ride in their horse carriage, but a polite 'La Shukran' (no thank you) was fine and they are just making a living like the rest of us! Nefertiti Hotel was a peaceful sanctuary, and I would not have missed Luxor for the world. Personal highlights: Karnak Temples and Seti's tomb at the Valley of the Kings - awe-inspiring.

The temples and archaeological sites are amazing.
The temples and archaeological sites are amazing. But beware of many people in Luxor trying to get you on the horse and cart, boats, sell you stuff, and who follow you around trying to con you. Dont be duped into going to the "one day a week" market that is a bazaar/shop in a dirty back street. If you dont buy anything they will demand 1000EGP anyway. The souk (market) is ok, but the harassment to buy is too much. I felt very uncomfortable after 3 days and wanted to get out of there

Luxor is a beautiful place with an immersive history.
Luxor is a beautiful place with an immersive history. Karnak & Luxor temple and Avenue of Sphinxes on East Bank of Nile & Valley of Kings/Artists, Hatshepsut temple, Medinet Habu, Deir-el-madina on the west bank are the places we visited during our stay.
We didn't eat out as it was Ramadan and we wanted to be discreet with food when travelling to the sites.
We hired a guide through Aswan individual to drive and explain the significance behind the places we visited and hence, unsure as to how to travel otherwise. Having a car would be better, as the sites are spread across the city, but a cycle would do just fine.
It is better to start early in Luxor as it tends to get hot as the day progresses. So, we did most of our trips from around 7 till 2 and rested in the afternoons.
We really enjoyed our time in Luxor.
Charismatic staff, great food with vegan and vegetarian options for all meals, friendly cats in the garden, beautiful architecture, good music, cozy garden atmosphere for breakfast or a nice dinner, chill vibes.
This was our favourite place to stay at during our 2-weeks trip to Egypt. The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome from the first to the last moment. The hotel has a beautiful architecture and garden, with spacious and very clean rooms. Definitely recommend staying at Embrace Hotel if you are going to Luxor.
This hotel is a perfect little safe haven amongst the lovely chaos of Egypt! We were greeted Jorda and his on site team and catered to our every need. Mr Mostafa the owner was also a very nice man and would help us if we asked but was truly an unforgettable experience due to Jorda. The hotel backs onto a small lake that you are able to take a boat out to watch the sunset, the food is absolutely delicious. Jorda spoke with us taught us about Luxor and traditions and really was a pleasure to be acquainted with. Will be staying again!
The food was really incredible. They offered a typical Egyptian fare. The ingredients were all fresh and served promptly. A couple of times we needed a last-minute meal and they always happily accommodated us. Food was so good, we actually didn't eat anywhere else in Luxor. LOVED the roof top patio too. They also helped us arrange a couple tours and taxi rides which were all excellent. The location is ideal--right next to the market and a short walk from the temples. The Venus was so much nicer than staying at a big box hotel.
Great host, clean and welcoming room with balcony and nice view! The room is big and has place to cook. The price is affordable, the owner treated us like friends, asked us if we need help with some tickets, treated us with local tea, booked us a hot air balloon, helped us change money. The hotel is in a very convenient location, a 5 minute walk from the ferry, and a taxi ride away from the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut. Highly recommend! Love Egypt!
This stay was amazing and saved my trip. the staff are wonderful people, the food is authentic home cooked Egyptian style food. the LOCATION IS PERFECT. I extended my stay for 2 extra nights because it was so nice being right next to Habu temple and the tombs of the nobles. Was also a joy to get away from the hassling on the other side of the Nile. It’s less of a hotel and more of a quaint Egyptian style bed and breakfast.
Peaceful setting on the West Bank of Luxor. Rooms are large and well furnished with comfortable beds, fine bedding, desk, and a sitting area. The hotel is decorated with interesting Egyptian antiques and the outside garden was a wonderful place to relax and eat our meals which were delicious. Most of all, we enjoyed the hospitality and kindness of Abdu and his family. We’ll be back!
The hotel was very nice for our price; it had a nice pool, nice rooms, and a great location.
It was within walking distance of the Luxor temple; they had a little shopping center with an ATM where we could exchange dollars for Egyptian pounds. The restaurant served Egyptian food, and you have to try the dessert "Kunafa." It was AMAZING! most of you stay here.
Everything was awesome. Staff are very kind and helpful, they made reservations for the tours with very good prices and make you feel like at home. The hotel is clean and the room is good! The localization is perfect, you can go walking to Luxor and Karnak and is also beside the market. Breakfast is very good too. The best place we've stayed in Egypt!!!
The hotel was great and the staff were very kind and helpful. We felt at home, yet also as if we were in an exotic ancient paradise. You feel like you're really in Egypt here. The breakfast was delicious and the outside cafeteria area is heavenly. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Luxor and West Thebes.
It’s a real place and you feel that you are in Egypt and in Luxor in the first minute. A beautiful Oasis near the Nile with a wonderful view. The pool is great and you have special breakfast and dinner outside in the garden. The boat to the other side works perfect and it’s a great location for all the visits in the west side!
Perfect hotel for a stay in Luxor! The staff is lovely. The rooms are very good . The roof top with swimming pool is sublime with its view of the temple. The hotel is ideally located in relation to the attractions of the city. Finally breakfast is really a plus, it changes what many hotels of this range in Egypt offer.
The location is great, just 5min from Luxor temple while the river Nile is just in front of your legs. The rooms are spacious. Breakfast was great with many options to choose. Also dinner and lunch were great at a very reasonable prices. The garden is a small oasis of oxygen in the heavy atmosphere of Egypt.
I planned a trip to Egypt for a group of 11 admit I was wary on our drive to the hotel through dirt streets and no sign of civilization. Upon arrival, we were relieved to find this hospitable oasis. The breakfast and dinner were fabulous. we loved the chicken with peanut sauce.
Best hotel that we stayed in Egypt (out of 4). Everything was good. Staff was polite and helpful. We got an upgrade to the best part of the complex. The hotel is old, but well maintained. Very luxurious. Garden and pool areas are just beautiful. You can walk to Luxor temple.
Beautiful smal/ familial hotel. Best place on the other site of the Luxor, ferry direct infront of the hotel. The Personal really helpful and friendly. The rooms Arena clean and have an awesome view. There is typical egypt food, that is delicious.
It is hidden beaty in Luxor. We finished out trip under 50 degrees of sun and when we arrive the hotel, pool was great welcome for us . Totaly quite and peaceful place to stay. Nobody is trying to sell you anything like the other hoteld in Egypt.
Really nice hotel. Staff is super friendly and location is perfect: nice view on the Nile and close to city center. Rooms are very comfortable and breakfast was the best we had in Egypt. We would definitely come back.
Egyptian, central, clean, great staff and the views and food from top floor restaurant were very nice. One stop shop for us as also booked our Luxor and Cairo tours at the hotel and enjoyed them all.
The location was great for visiting Luxor and the pool was amazing! The hotel is very modern and luxurious - not dated like some of the other big brand name hotels in Egypt.
The hotel is not luxury one. But it has its unique style.
Very nice terrace and amazing view.
Close to the centre of luxor where you can se authentic Egyptian markets.
