**Please read carefully prior to booking**
This is not a conventional home, it is open-air, designed with the intent of feeling connected with nature and its surrounding culture. We have done our very best in providing amenities and desirable comforts, but we'd like to gently remind, that it is in the jungle and in a small developing village. With that said, the electricity/non-potable water and Wi-Fi can temporarily go down from time to time. We have multiple backup systems in place for such occasions, but it is good to be aware prior, that it can happen and sometimes even the backups are not fail-safe.
Additionally, the home is located just off of the only road to the beach... A beautiful thing to watch and listen to the daily routines of people, but this does come with noise fluctuations. Our nearby neighbors include a small primary school, a bar open late hours Friday's & Saturday's, and a hostel. That being said, you'll likely experience an influx in noise levels from time to time. *School is not in session during summer months.
If you're looking for a completely quiet and lavish vacation, this may not be the place for you. However, if you're interested in a true immersion into Dominican local culture while staying in a beautiful tropical private house near the beach, this is absolutely your place!
And lastly, depending on the season, some mosquitos are present in the evenings. So it is always good to prepare for this just in case, however, the house is also equipped with mosquito repellant devices and bug nets as extra precaution. Regardless of season, mosquitos are not normally of an issue in this area, but it is always a good idea to be safe rather than sorry. It is an open air designed house, meaning there will be the occasional bug.
If you're looking for a completely quiet and lavish vacation, this may not be the place for you. However, if you're interested in a true immersion into Dominican local culture while staying in a beautiful tropical private house near the beach, this is absolutely your place!
*We hope these things will not deter you from coming to Casa El Valle, but rather help you best prepare for your trip and ensure it is the right fit. It is certainly our families (and many others based on past reviews) favorite type of vacation, but not all people will think this*
