Around 15 kilometres southeast of the town, you will find the Helnaes archipelago, an area renowned for its unique, unspoiled countryside, clear water and attractive bathing beaches. Ten kilometres north of Assens is the attractive cape of Sandager Næs, an ideal destination for those who enjoy fishing, hiking, cycling or simply enjoying the countryside in peaceful surroundings.
