When I travel, it’s in the spirit of American poet Robert Frost: "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I — I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference." Amazement, discovery, laughing, playing - I try to incorporate as much of these as possible in my day, especially when travelling. Being on the road is one thing; finding a haven is something else entirely. I appreciate a home with atmosphere, I want to give an apartment a deeper ambience. It’s a task that fortunately never ends. As the saying goes, “As a gem is to its setting, so is a person to his dwelling." Some years ago I set up and ran a café bar, and it was there that I learned how much pleasure the role of host can be. Maybe we’ll actually meet soon.

Tastefully modernized, 134-sq. m. serviced apartment in a building with character, on the Rosenberg in west Stuttgart. Four stylish and cosy rooms each with wardrobe, double bed, sideboard, desk and lounger. The modern bathroom has two basins, a huge shower, a bathtub, a toilet and some storage space. For dining, chatting or working, there is a large table in the hallway with chairs; there are additional places to sit in the kitchen and on the balcony. In addition to one full bath, the apartment also has a guest lavatory with a basin. The Citylodge is situated on the ground floor. You access the accommodation via an illuminated side entrance. Inside you will find a keysafe left to the entrance to the Lodge R53 for your self-check-in. The rooms have a typical old-style flair combined with modern kitchen technology, gas heating and modernized bath. The overnight price includes duvets and pillows, bed linen, hand towels and bath towels, toilet paper, soap/shampoo, hairdryer, WLAN, an well-equipped kitchen as well as homemade bakeries, fruits and our daily cleaning service. The Lodge is perfect for individuals as well as groups with up to 8 persons like circle of friends or families.

West Stuttgart is one of the most sought-after parts of the city and one of Germany’s largest contiguous historic districts. You will find many owner-managed shops, long-established craft businesses, charming restaurants and a rich cultural life here. The Citylodge is close to downtown Stuttgart; a 10 to 15 minute walk. You can park directly on the street. The U-Bahn (subway) is around the corner and the bus stops less than 50 meters from the house. We are four stops away from the main train station. To get the airport, you take the U-Bahn in the other direction, four stops to the next S-Bahn, which brings you to the airport and the trade fair in about 30 minutes.
