Our main activity in Germany is shopping. Since many of the individual shops gave gone in favour of chains in Palais Vest we no longer spend much time in Recklinghausen centre. We used to do 2 or 3 visits per trip. Barbara's shop is a newly found treasure trove and we did return there a couple if times, but not any other shops in the centre.RosalindUnited Kingdom

Location is not very central, but not a problem if you are by car, and the Restaurant associated to the Hotel with a delicious Greek menu is absolutely great! it makes it all worth to stay a bit off-central. Everyone did their best, during dinner and breakfast, to accommodate our gluten-free needs.

No omlete or any hot meal. There is no parking yet (probably, will be in the future). Large construction site in the area, so some of the construction workers lived on the same floor as us and they were not particularly quiet.

The rooms were also not as small as one would expect from an older hotel. Also the breakfast has many different options (vegan as well) to make you feel full.
