We were traveling from Italy to Netherlands by car and decided to stop in Bon to check out a little the city center. We chose the hotel for its central location few minutes walk to main attractions: Beethoven House, Old City Hall and few others. We arrived after the check-in hours and we received very clear instructions how to get the key to the room and how to find it upfront. The room was not big but was sufficient and comfortable. In the room we found a lot of materials how you can spend a day in Bon even with a walking tour suggestion. We were impressed by the breakfast, so many absolute delicious and fresh options. Definitely will keep this hotel on my list of favorites!

Compact old town centre (mostly reconstructed) with not much to see for tourists. Beethoven’s house was worth the visit though, we also enjoyed the Macke exhibition at the Art Museum. There were few decent restaurants around the town, we found an Italian, “Italiani” that served a good pizza. Lots of snacky places or SE Asian type food places. Seems to cater more for students. For us it was just an overnight staging post on a long journey, I couldn’t recommend staying there for any length of time (and if you do, give the hotel Lohndorf a miss…!).

Much smaller than its close neighbour, Cologne, Bonn does not get behind in terms of its great history, multicultural feeling, amazing food and drink options, excellent variety and efficiency of public transportation system, excellent facilites for pedestrians and cyclers and vibrancy of overall urban life, even late at night. And it really gets forward in terms of great historic architecture, public spaces, safeness and costs. I really enjoyed the experience, even for a work trip, I just loved wandering around the historic center, the Rhine front, the central train station and all the way south to the World Conference Center and west to the Alter Friedhof. All I saw, lived, ate and bought was met with nice people, great spots for taking pictures and amazing experiences. Would have loved to stay longer, to visit its many museums.

A smaller, but vibrant and multicultural city, with an amazing assortment of attractions (of which visited few, due to a very tight time and budget, due to attending a congress in the city) and the best and most convenient public transportation system that I have seen. The historic center is amazingly beautiful, clean and ordered, the Rhine border is beautiful and if you love Beethoven or are interested about Post-War Germany, this is the place to be. Lastly, I come from a place where cities are deserted at night, so going to a place where people are just, safely, enjoying in the streets, eating out or clubbing was a really nice experience to live, as an urban planner.

From the little that I saw, the city is ok.
From the little that I saw, the city is ok. Lots of visible homelessness and drunkenness in the public open spaces though. As a lone female traveller this affected how safe I felt. It is not a city I would visit for a vacation. For business purposes it is ok.
Hotel ia located at the center of Bonn, the rooms are basic but met all my needs, clean room, clean towels and bed sheets, proper heating, hot water and a very good breakfast. I stayed in different hotels in Bonn and cost/benefit is the higest for Europa. My room was facing the tram station and it did not really disturb me. Unless you need to leave the windows open; unless you are very noise sensitive it is not really disturbing.
This hotel really exceeded my expectations. I had my doubts as it is literally on the main street infront of Bonn Hauptbahnhof, so it should be quite noisy in the room - but was I wrong! I have never stayed in such a quiet and perfectly located hotel. The hotel is also very stylishly furbished and you just sink into the bed! The room was perfectly equipped for a city getaway. Was a pleasure staying there!
If you are coming to Bonn with your car, the hotel would be a good choice as it has a free parking lot. You can access to the city with a 20 min walk, that's not short but acceptable. There are no keys or cards, you just need a passcode to access the hotel and the room, that was convenient. In addition, it is also good that they eliminated the check-out process. Breakfast buffet was satisfying.
The hotel is just around the corner of the Market Square - one of the main amenities of Bonn. The staff is young and the bar is lively. It's the epitome of hostel. What could be made better is to offer breakfast but probably for the time being it is impossible. Nevertheless, they offer a welcome drink which compensates.
Very nice location close to museums and political attractions, as well as the U-Bahn. Getting into the city centre takes only a few minutes on the U-Bahn, but it is also a lovely 20 minute walk along the Rhein, which is one of the most gorgeous places in Germany. I extended my stay because I enjoyed it so much.
We stayed here for one night to be close to our friend's wedding party venue.
I honestly did not have high expectations as this old hotel, but it was well maintained, the rooms were spacious, the in-room drink service and fron desk staff exceeded German hotel standards, making our stay a comfortable one.
Lovely hotel one minute walking from the transport with which you can reach the city centre in 10/15 minutes. Beautiful rooms, very clean wonderful bathroom and the staff has been very helpful and flexible, it has been a perfect stay, next time I will go back to Bonn I will look for this hotel, 100%
The hotel is in a good location, close to downtown and next to the riverside.
The bed is comfortable, not to soft and not to hard. Room has airco, very nice shower, tv and a small desk.
I did not try breakfast.
The value of the room (57 eur) was perfect for a short stay in Bonn.
- optional breakfast (didn’t try tho)
- late self check-in
- very responsive staff
- could store my luggage
- very comfortable and spacious room, a TV with YouTube / Netflix
- 20 min walk to the Russian embassy in case you come to Bonn for some bureaucracy
Hotel is located very close to central station and city center. Facilities are somehow obsolete, however renovation was in process all over the hotel. Free coffee/tea and candy bar available in the lobby. Rooms are quiet, beds comfortable.
This hotel is right at the heart of Bonn with quick access to the central area (shops, dining, etc.).
The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.
The room was very spacious and clean
And the breakfast was great as well.
Spacious and exceptionally clean room and bathroom. Reception desk staff were very courteous and helpful. Location of the hotel is good - not central, but next to a tram stop, 6 stops from the city centre.
I really like 26 square meter room they offer and the kitchen. For me and my family, this hotel room is big enough and also the kitchen set helps us to warm food.
