We prefer Bad Neuenahr to Ahrweiler, as Ahrweiler is the old historic part and gets very busy with tourists. Bad Neuenahr is more modern with river and cycling routes, also many places to eat and drink.
we know it so well as we have been going for about 10 years!

Bad Neuenahr is quite beautiful in nature, the area along the Ahr river is almost entirely car-free and an ideal plays for relaxing strolls or a calm read on one of the many benches. Bad Neuenahr is a great spot to charge your batteries, very quiet. Staying for a week or more is surely recommended, as we haven't seen all and still want to return. It also proves to be an excellent walking environment for both flatter walks and slightly more challenging ones, the Rotweinwanderweg is certainly to be recommended as is a walk to Neuenahrer Berg for a magnificent view over the valley. Where Bad Neuenahr has a bit more modern feel of its Spa heydays, Ahrweiler has an adorable Old Town within its walls. The average age of the people present is somewhat higher, but that certainly does not bother, rather contributes to the calm atmosphere. For the wine lovers the many vineyards have a lot to offer, both fine white wines as very easily likeable red wines. Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler is ideal for a relaxing holiday for those who want to get away from the crowds.

A real gem of a town in easy driving distance from zeebrugge ferry (come off motorways at Vaals for a coffee then drive cross country for a scenic route)
Twin towns have lots of shops and restaurants etc to explore. Good base to explore Ahr valley- car bike or on foot.
Nice spa in town and others within driving distance.
Lots to explore by car - Bad Münstereifel outlet, steam railway at bruhl , day trip up Rhine, racetrack at Nürburgring .

Lovely, traditional village.
Lovely, traditional village. If you want to stay away from the tourist hustle and bustle, then this is the place to go. Lots to look at in the village, lots of places to eat and drink and plenty of shops too. Not too far from bigger supermarkets either (about a 5 min drive)
Lovely cobbled streets, very friendly locals and surrounded by hills of crops.

I was on¡y there one night.
I was on¡y there one night. It is not a tourist spot but is a useful place to stay. The forest around are nice to see but I did not see anything very interesting in the town. I would not say it is a holiday destination.

I only used this hotel as a short stop on my way to Southern Europe, but I am sure that it has a lot more to offer. The rooms are spacious and have a balcony that offers a great view over the valley. Staff is typically German: correct and very friendly. Breakfast is a nice buffet, and the looks of the restaurant and the staff bringing the drinks add some luxury. These are clearly people who love running a hotel. I will choose this hotel again if I ever visit the Eifel region in the future.
The location on the hills overlooking the valley was excellent with great access to the surrounding vineyards. In fact the hotel actually sits on the Red wine walking route.
Staff were really friendly, breakfasts were good and there was plenty to see if you venture from the hotel even out of peak wine harvesting season. The nearby town is starting to come back to life after the flooding of 2021 with people and businesses appreciative of our tourist trade.
We've been to around 10 hotels/accommodations in Ahrtal and this is the best hotel so far.
Staff were friendly, room was exceptional and larger than other hotels, breakfast was worth the price they charge. They offer refreshing prosecco, local cheeses, different eggs, and good quality bread and cakes!
central location, one of few local hotels open since the floods
clean
good buffet breakfast breads
very comfortable bed
good value for a 3-star central hotel in 2022 in this area
hard-working staff, but a young man helped me bring my suitcase upstairs ( getting down at checkout was harder)
The hotel was closed. You state that we were a no show but we arrived at 6 pm to find the hotel closed. Local residents confirmed that is usually the case at this time of year .It caused us quite a lot of anxiety. I would like an apology and an explanation of your unacceptable performance.
Dinoris Hotel has a fantastic location and a great place to stay. We had an overnight stay and the room is clean and spacious. Food at the restaurant was also amazing. The family running the hotel, restaurant and wine house are lovely and warm! Will definitely go back!
The apartment was so elegant and lofty.Beautifully curated.
Very comfortable bed,super facilities.
The gardens looked lovely.
We were able to charge our electric car at the hotel.
We liked the lady owner very much. She was charming.
Breakfast was very good.
The location was good, really in the center. The parking place was away just couple of minutes of drive.
Friendly stuff..we were given full information how to find *weinguts* We were able to leave our luggage in the hotel after check out.
This was my first trip to Ahrweiler with my wife who is from Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler since the flooding. Barbara and Thomas have done an amazing job of recovering and preparing their apartments for guests again. We hope to return!
We have been visiting Bad Neuenahr for 15 years & this is the best apartment we have stayed in. The View! Apartment is bright & open apartment. Modern & clean. Great kitchen & shower room & perfect location for us.
Breakfast is good. Our room was very spacious. The terrace and the little living room inside the hotel room were a delight. Close to supermarkets. The staff were helpful and friendly!
A very interesting place and a very beautiful atmosphere in terms of the view towards the hill next to the hotel. Excellent service and very friendly people. 😊😊
