The ease with which we could come and go from the apartments
At the start of Bavaria’s scenic Romantic Road, Würzburg is an elegant city with monuments attesting the power of the Church. On a green hill west of the city center is Marienberg Fortress, the former seat of the ruling prince-bishops. Now, it houses the Mainfränkisches art museum and overlooks the statue-lined Old Bridge crossing the Main River below.
But its the home of the prince-bishops that really steals the show. The opulence of the Würzburg Residence and its landscaped gardens have earned it a spot on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The surrounding U-shaped park extends all the way around the historic center.
This park is the first thing you see when leaving the train station, and nearby is the Röntgen memorial commemorating the physicist who discovered X-rays while teaching at Würzburg University, one of the oldest in the country.
Also one of Germany’s oldest is the Würzburger Stein vineyard outside the city. Some of the region’s signature Franken wine can be sampled in the cellar of historic Julius Spital hospital. Nearby is the Falkenhaus and the neighboring Church of Our Lady borders the main square. The cathedral is much larger and has its own museum.
Booking.com’s places to stay in Würzburg includes luxury spa hotels, guesthouses with parking, and cheap hostels.

Although it rained most of the time during our two day stay and it was very cold, we enjoyed a lot visiting the Residence and its garden, the old Main bridge (rather the Mainwein bar at the bridge where we were lucky to get the last free table) and the Rathskeller (Spargel dinner). Still many places remain to see in my next visit.

A lovely small city that feels friendly and charming.
A lovely small city that feels friendly and charming. We happened to be there for Flasching/Carnival, which was quite wild and involved a procession and people dressing up and perhaps a bit of drinking! The next day everything was clean and running normally apart from the occasional late night reveller dressed as a banana making his/her way home on the SBahn. The Residenz and the Castle were well worth the visit. as was the Cathedral/Dom and the old Bridge.

The city is fantastic - historically and vibrant, a lot of younger people everywhere although it was September. Especially in the evening the old bridge is crowded and it was very interesting to join the crowd. After a long sightseeing day this is a great end of the day. The restaurants are full and good food and wine are served everywhere. It is a must to stay in the hotel in the center so you can enjoy the evening walk. And what was a surprise: people are carrying their glasses of wine while walking arround, not only on the old bridge. The restaurants on the banks of the river are especially crowded and booking the table is needed.

We love Wurzburg and have been here many times.
We love Wurzburg and have been here many times. It is a university town and is busy but is still charming. The town is easily reached by long-distance train from Frankfurt Airport and is well connected to serve as a base for visiting other nearby towns as day trips. There are several hotels reasonably priced within a few minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof. The Altstadt is within easy walking distance from the Hauptbahnhof, there are plenty of restaurants, great shopping, beautiful churches, the medieval fortress overlooking the city which is surrounded by vineyards, and of course the spectacular Residence (one of the most important baroque palaces in Europe). The city was pretty much destroyed by Allied bombing during WWII. The reconstruction is incredible. The locals are friendly and welcoming. The town is very scenic surrounded by vineyards and on the river. The local wine is excellent! We will return to Wurzburg again.

Wurzburg is a vibrant town with lots to do from having a vino on the Old Bridge and watching the cruise ships negotiate the lock, to feasting your eyes on the glorious court chapel in the Residence palace, to wine tasting on the river with the locals in Randsacker, to climbing the 250 steps and doing the Stations of the Cross up to the old Kapelle Wallfahrtskirch and as we left, a rock concert was being set up. Something for everyone.
I was happy to spend time in Würzburg, I choosed a lovely familiar hotel. The double bedroom was very clean, tidy and comfortable. The breakfast was amazingly delicious. Thank you for the kindly staff, they were very helpful, because I was a bit sick after a long journey. The reception ladies tried to give me the best help. If I will travel to abroad again, I will definitely choose Hotel Fischzucht 🤗
Given the early ICE reservation & having lived in Würzburg for three years I knew I wanted a room near the WBG Hbf (buses & trams as well) for my short stay. The Hotel Regina was an excellent choice. It is recently refreshed, 24 hr desk and my zimmer (room) had a view of the Hbf as well. The picturesque hillside vineyard view behind, location, value made it a "no brainer" choice.
We most appreciated the courtesy and friendliness of the staff, particularly a gentleman named Abel Silva. He went out of his way to give us recommendations, directions, pleasantries, etc. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at AC Marriott. Parking was very convenient. On this trip, Marriott hotels stood out for all of the conveniences and comforts, and AC Marriott topped.
The apartment was lovely, nice decor, comfortable and overall well equipped. A washing machine and dryer at the end of the corridor was a real plus. There are no administrative staff on site, but the phone and email service was helpful and prompt at all times. The location is quite far out of Würzburg but it‘s a ten minute walk to a tram that takes you right in to the centre.
The location just off the autobahn was very convenient and there are petrol stations close-by. It’s within 5 minutes walk to the Old Town (Altstadt) and the river. Expensive but convenient safe parking on site.
The sauna facilities are excellent.
The staff at reception are so helpful and cheerful.overall the hotel was spotless and the rooms made-up beautifully everyday.
My room was on the 15th floor. The view was magnificent.
The breakfast was great. I was in another hotel before GHotel. The breakfast menu was the same in both hotels.
Room was clean and large. However, its design could be better (i.e and additional table in the room could fill the space and make the life easier). The kitchen in the room was cozy and nice.
Near-ish train station. Very clean. Small kitchenette, but well stocked. Nice balcony with table with partial views of Würzburg vineyard hills. Nice local bakery next door for inexpensive breakfast T-F.
Attentive staff. We had a problem when checking out early in the morning. Host answered the phone and was helpful in resolving the issue.
The location cannot be beat for seeing Wurzburg. It is an easy 3 minute walk from the nearby tram stop, and once you drop your luggage, you are in the heart of the scenic town. The old bridge, the fortress, the Rathaus, and the Cathedral are all just a few minutes walk away.
The breakfast was delicious, coffee excellent and the hosts were cheerful and helpful!
Nina and Wolfgang were very attentive. I also loved the fresh flowers all throughout the hotel and in my room!
The hotel was also walking distance to the train station.
The hotel has a very strategic location between the historical city center of Würzburg and the train station. The rooms and bathrooms were very comfortable and clean. The staff was super friendly. Plus, the restaurant of the hotel offers quite tasty meals.
We had a short stop over in Würzburg
The hotel was very clean with a lot of anti-covid measures, so you feel pretty safe. During the breakfast the were a lot of choice. We came with the car and there is a parking garage under the hotel: very convinient.
The hotel is in a very beautiful place on top of a hill, the hotel itself is an ancient castle type hotel with many interesting things from the past, the walk around the hotel in the vineyard area is absolutely refreshing with amazing views of Würzburg
The hostel is just across from the hbf, so it's super convenient.
The staffs are very friendly as well.
The luggage storage & kitchen are available.
Alles gut!!
If I have a chance to visit Würzburg again, I would no doubt choose to stay here!
Compared to prices and standards in Würzburg this flat was of moderate standard and of moderate price, altogether normal. The appartment was clean. The place was near my target, the hospital, but the tram stop to the centre was also close.
The location was great for visiting wurzburg, very large apartment, everything you need is in the bathroom and kitchen! There was a bath and shower and also a washing machine. All in all highly recommended.
The hotel offers the well known Ibis standard accomodation. When staying in Würzburg we often stay in this hotel.
Great advantage is the neaby parkingplace at low cost.
Wonderful hotel and a very helpful and happy staff.great location right across from main tram stop and great restaurants nearby. Breakfast was very good.
