The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully, the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale facade of this Bohemian city intact.
Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.
Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.
The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.
Flights arriving at Vaclav Havel International Airport will be in the city center after a short subway ride. For historic hotels, cheap hostels or charming apartments head to Booking.com for nearly 700 accommodations in Prague.

I like the convenience of the tram, shops all over, the nice big malls, super high tech payment machine, money changes and convenience of atms everywhere. Specially like the Palladium food court, and other malls with large selection of eateries. I would aviod coming in early spring as it is still not warm.

It is a beautiful cute city with a lot to see and experience. It also feels very safe. The airport is not far from the city centre and can be reached in about 30 min with public transportation.
Advice to travellers: Please make sure to validate your public transport tickets before using buses or trains. I was fined 1000 CZK on a bus despite having a ticket.

Lots of stuff to do and see, alhough may be too many people.
Lots of stuff to do and see, alhough may be too many people. May be best to visit at a quieter time of year. Curiously whilst we found the locals in Budapest really friendly and helpful, the same could not always be said of the locals in Prague. The taxi drivers seemed very rude and un-cooperative and strangely not one them owned up to a single word of English (difficult to believe when all those in Budapest seemed fluent in several languages).
The (old) Jewish Cementary was the highlight along with all the Holocaust victims names written on the walls of one of the synagogues.

Prague has lost a lot from it's vibe.
Prague has lost a lot from it's vibe. In the last 10 years they got rid of the food carts selling great hot-dog with local sausages, instead of great pubs you see more and more starbucks and fast-food chains, you see too many kebab places with pizza instead of traditional hot-dogs.
I got it that marijuana is decriminalized, but weed is shoved in your face on every corner. Every other store is either a kebab place, a starbucks, or a weed shop.
Also it got a lot dirtier, and sadly there are more and more homeless people.
Still, Prague is one of the greatest cities in the EU, it was better, and still could be.

People do not know the touristic business.
People do not know the touristic business. They just do not care about tourists as they have so much tourism that they are behaving strangely indifferent. Not polite either. In many places they add a proposed tip fee and they do not explain that this is only if the client wants to offer. Do not offer any tip except if they are polite and you liked the service. There are places where the service is good and you would love to tip them. I consider that some remnants of the former soviet union are remaining. It is a beautiful city that it is worth visiting but do not expect a polite and nice travelling experience as Prague is so touristic. The city is one of the most beautiful cities i have ever seen. So much history and it is conserved through the centuries.

The Grand Marque Hotel location was excellent.
The Grand Marque Hotel location was excellent. The service and quality of the food was very good.
We did a walking tour - starting at 10am finishing around 4pm. Great guide and good tour. However the lunch was just ok. Another time i would not have the goulash.
The city and its history are real and relevant to provide context to what does and does not work in Europe. The recent occupation history particularly gives a very clear understanding of the Czech Republic and its position in the EU and Nato
The best locations in Prague only 5 minutes walking distance to old town square, 15 minutes walking to Charles bridge, 15 minutes walking to the riverboats cruise and restaurants, bars, cafes, terraces open until midnight and only 5 minutes walking from the hotel, breakfast buffet lots of choices, restaurants served quality food, hotel staffs are helpful and friendly they even prolonged our checkout till 2pm for free instead of 12 because our flight are around 6pm
Good location. Walking distance to old Town Square & Charles Bridge. Close to supermarket "Billa"(500m) There are one Chinese & Vietnam restaurant inside the mall opposite to the hotel (300m) together with a small grocery. Close to metro, light rail& bus station. Uber to the Castle & Lenon Wall is cheap. It a good choice in summer afternoons. Go Sedlec Ossuary & St Barbara church is excellent for one day trip. You will never forget for sure. Breakfast is great.
Excellent location at the National Museum next to two metro lines (metro station is just in front of the hotel) and in a walking distance from Old Town square and other city centre attraction points. I arrived late and saw how busy and loud it was outside at the Wenceslas square, but in my room which was facing the square I did not hear any noise from outside. The room was comfortable, well-eqipped, with interesting design. Personnel was very nice and helpful.
The hotel is at a perfect location for sightseeing, you can just walk less than 20 minutes to get to old town square and others. The breakfast is excellent have lot of choices. Parking is in hotel’s back yard which is so convenient. All staffs are professional with smiles all the time, also very good communications no matter how you connect them snd always give you answers right away. I would be definitely coming back next time when I’m in Prague.
Excellent location close to the Jewish quarter, near Metro station and a bus/tram station just outside the apartment. There's a 24 X 7 reception at their hotel which is about 5 minutes walk from the apartment . The apartment itself was very clean, spacious and well equipped including a washing machine. Old town square is 5 minutes walk and Charles bridge around 15 minutes. Would definitely stay here when we return.
The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the main train and main bus station in Prague, so used Google navigator for that which wasn't bad. It's also very close to the astronomical clock off the main old town square, so that makes it easy too. Check in and check out were quick, and one of the front desk folks always seemed to speak English which was great. Room was very clean and what we expected for the price.
Location is perfect - less than 5 minutes walk to Old Town square. Plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes nearby which was a plus “. Tram and metro stations located very closely to the hotel and everywhere was in walking distance. Exceptional service from staff and rooms were warm, cozy and very clean. Great value for money - I would definitely stay here again when I come back!
We liked EVERYTHING!!! the hotel is new, fantastic location - walking distance to old town square, supermarket within a minute walk, cafes, restaurants, tourist tours, shopping mall. And everyone on staff made our stay even more enjoyable! And the room: beautiful, comfy, cleaner than clean. We will miss Prague for sure!
Breakfast had a great selection and was very good food.
The room was spacious, clean and had air conditioning. The beds are also very comfortable.
The hotel was located very close to major tourist attractions including a 5 min walk from Charles Bridge, the Old Town Square and only 15 mins from the main train station.
Everything. If I could rate this hotel as 20/10 I would. The location is simply amazing - right on the old town square. Literally a few minutes by foot to each direction to reach all of the city’s famous sights. The breakfast is truly magnificent. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended!!!!
Great price and nice ambience. The hotel was a bit difficult to find at first but is well-situated in the city centre–very close to many restaurants, cafes, and attractions such as the Prague Astronomical Clock, Old Town Square, and Charles Bridge. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean.
The staff were so friendly and overall customer experience was excellent. The hotel room was much nicer than I had expected and very clean. The cleaners provided clean towels each morning too. Walking distance to major attractions and the Old Town Square. Would recommend to everyone.
Superb location and warm friendly staff. Breakfast was one of the best buffet style offerings experienced in many years travelling and overall the hotel is great value for money and a stones throw away from the old town square
Hotel located in a city centre. 5 minutes walk to Old Town Square. There are many good restaurants near the hotel. Many thanks to helpful and polite staff, especially Alex. Recommend for sure.
Loved the hotel and room design, very modern! It has a perfect location, we only had to walk 10 mins to get to old town square.
The staff are very friendly and nice!
The hotel is central just a minute walk to the old town square, which is why I chose it to go see the Christmas markets. It was clean and the staff friendly.
Environment inside look like 5 star Hotel , big room. Clean. Friendly staff. Modern Design. Near the main attractions like Old town . Room rate also cheap.
