We LOVED-LOVED-LOVED staying at Casa de las Tías! Beautiful house with cozy, spacious (and very clean!) room that had everything we needed. From the first moment, we felt like we were family guests. Xavier and Pilar were so welcoming!! The breakfast was generous and delicious! Every morning, we woke up to the sounds of birds, went to the patio in the beautiful garden, where the table was already set up for breakfast. Fresh local fruit, delicious coffee, hot breakfast… No hotel would ever - ever! - come close to the authentic experience of staying with the local family. Pilar and Xavier also recommended us several really good restaurants and hidden gems that we would have never discovered on our own. Overall, we couldn’t wish for a better stay in San Jose! Recommend 1000%!!!
