Salento is the perfect place to relax, I recommend Casa Willis for lunch, amazing food and beverages.
It also has some nice hotels to stay with a very good breakfast included, we liked Casaboutique Hotel, the staff is super friendly, clean and peaceful hotel, comfortable rooms and outstanding breakfast with an amazing view! 10/10!
Valle del Cocora is 15 minutes away and you can either do camping or go out for a walk, horseback riding, etc. Don’t skip this treasure.

The cocora valley was closed on the 2 days we were there. This was the main reason we went and due to heavy rains or something along those lines, the road was damaged and not accessible by the Willy trucks. So everyone in line was turned away and told it was closed. Salento is very salesy - Filandia is a similar vibe with all of the painted houses but a bit less sales oriented. Would have stayed in Filandia and visited Salento for the day instead.
Coffee excursion was enjoyable.

Beautiful, colorful and lively town that preserves the architecture, traditions and flair of Colombia's coffee region. The place welcomes everyone , solo travelers, couples, families, etc. It offers a good variety of activities, ranging from strolling around the town to mountain trekking, from tours at coffee farms to fine handcrafts shopping, from dining traditional dishes to international cuisine. I recommend visiting this town to everyone.

I was pleased we chose to stay in Salento rather than at an outlying hacienda. Salento was very crowded with tourists/travelers but the town plaza was our favorite place to be in the mornings/evenings. Our two favorite restaurants were Juan Esteban (on the square) and Betatown. Both had very good food and service.

A cute, colourful town near the stunning Valle de Cocora, which is the main reason to visit. The coffee tours are a bit touristy, but it’s a good vibe. Be sure to play “tejos” and have a few beers at Los Amigos.

Plenty of things to do! Beautiful town to explore!
Plenty of things to do! Beautiful town to explore!
Loved the coffee tour at el ocaso and we also manage to go to cocora valley which was beautiful!
Easy and cheap to get around on the jeep cars.
this hotel has the nicest and most carrying staff in a hotel that I have ever experienced. I arrived at 4am, and since the hotel was fully booked that night, they organized me something were I could stay in the meantime. the next day I booked a massage and to make sure I find the place, the lady from the hotel walked me there after her shift!
the place itself is really clean, and just around the corner from the main square with a great view into the hills. book the room with the balcony! a high recommendation if you stay in salento!
Best hotel in Salento!! Great value. The room was extremely clean and spacious, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, the linen was of great quality, the bathroom was big and clean, and the shower had hot water.
The hotel is very well located in a beautiful old colonial style building with dark timber fittings. There are wonderful views from the very well-looked after garden.
Breakfast was included and it was very generous and tasty. To make things even better the hosts are really nice and friendly. I would definitely go back!
True luxury: classic country residence turned into a boutique hotel in the midst of a 300 hectares farm and nature preserve. Spectacular views on the terrace and the rooms, outside commercial touristic noise of Salento. Genuine quality service: hiking, horse back riding, coffee tours, transport all arranged and delivered while you enjoy the terrace. Didn't even feel the need to go to Salento for dinner. A cook on staff is able to prepare all the meals after a day in nature. A movie like gem
The property is absolutely beautiful! The property has 2 private waterfalls that guests can enjoy. Surrounded by avocado farms and greenery, this property feels like a dream! My suite was clean and the bed was very, very comfortable. This location also has hot water (not often found in all South American hotels). The location was perfect-it's close enough to town to explore Salento and hike the Cocora Valley, but it also offers you the opportunity to enjoy a quiet evening. I loved it here!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at "El Patio de mi Casa" that we extended our original 2 day stay for a full 7 days. The location of the hotel was perfect and so close to the main Salento Plaza and we had gorgeous mountain views from our room. Great hot shower! Wonderful staff served excellent breakfasts every morning and were always kind and very helpful. You will not find a better price or better value than at this excellent boutique hotel.
I really loved the jacuzzi, the included 30 minutes massage was so relaxing, me and my partner got an amazing experience in the hotel, Salento is a pretty good place to visit, and if I come back to Colombia, definitely I will return to Coclí, all the environment was amazing as the staff, and I really enjoyed all the time that I spent in Coclí, was a very intimate time with my partner, and I strongly recommend the author's cocktail
We liked the rustic farm experience compared to staying in Salento. The eco hotel was also very close to the wax palm trees of Valle de Cocora. We got to milk a cow! We had rented a car as we heard the gravel road up to the property was bumpy and some transport won’t go up there. We saw other guests use classic Jeep Willyz as transport. The Chandelier Pine tree is a landmark destination in itself. Lots of birds, too!
everything was great! Staff were super helpful and friendly (and spoke English), breakfast was really tasty, beds were very comfortable and shower was nice and hot!! location is a ten min walk from the bus station and five min walk from the main plaza, but Salento is really safe. We didn’t have a chance to have the massages but heard they were good.
Would definitely stay here again if visiting Solento!
This mid-range hotel is situated a short distance from the main plaza, and is a good option if you want to be right in the town centre. It has smart rooms, good breakfast, helpful staff and reasonable tranquillity. Salento is a good base for excursions but is heavily oriented to tourism: there may be calmer and less commercial destinations in the lovely surrounding countryside.
The location was perfect in located in the central plaza, so was very easy to get a Willy to go anywhere. The hotel staff were very helpful and answered all our questions on how to get around. The shower had great water pressure and warm water. They also had a water filter so that tourists can refill their waterbottles instead of having to buy bottled water.
The amazing experience be around nature, culture an welcome people. The hotel history and design is wonderful. The food is delicious and really big to be a breakfast the best "arepas de maíz trillado" and delicious coffee. The rooms are really clean. The location is perfect because everything is around also the view from all Salento
The lodge for two people was quite nice. The bed was comfortable and it offers interesting environment. I enjoyed the showers outside with the nature. The staff is really kind and the breakfast offered is really good. The location is quite nice for Salento and visiting another towns in the area. The hotel experience is really good.
It was a perfect place to stay in Salento. Wonderful service since we arrived to the hotel. Jeff was very accommodating and helpful at all times. Rustic style room with comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and a nice chimney. They have a nice turco and jacuzzi available. Would stay here again if we are to come back!
It is a nice and well-kept villa overlooking Salento. Il also has a nice garden and an internal patio full of tropical plants. Staff are extremely kind and helpful, from the hotel officers (Juan Andrés and Lieder) to the ladies who cooked tasty breakfasts.
Beautiful country hotel located in the lovely Cocora Valley area, yet close enough to Salento. Great breakfast, horses, overall beauty everywhere. Wonderful staff, thanks Santiago for your kindness and professionalism. Will certainly return.
The hotel is very well located, practically in the center of Salento, it also has parking.
Everything is relatively recently remodeled and new.
The owner is very friendly.
They have free coffee.
The room was clean, quiet, well equipped and with a nice view of Salento. It’s about 10 minutes on foot from the main square which means the noise of city in the evening does not reach the hotel.
