We actually spent 4 days in Bogotá.
We actually spent 4 days in Bogotá. I’m not a city person but I quickly fell in love with it. There was just so much to see. We took the trip up Monserrat. A must do! The “free” walking tours were great and added enormously to our understanding of Colombia. My fav was the graffiti and street art tour. It was interesting to learn how graffiti artists turn into street artists and the politics behind it. My husband’s fav was the war and politics walk. I must say even I was enthralled by it and I'm not one for history and political stuff. It is now a must do when I tell my friends about our trip.

I love Bogota, I travel there 2-3 times a year and will retire there soon. The people are friendly and it is as safe as any extremely large city can be. Be aware, be cautious and enjoy everything Colombia has to offer.

Bogota is a great place.
Bogota is a great place. Much relaxter than what you expect from all the 'maffia' reviews on the internet. It's a big city full of live and there are certainly neighbourhoods where you want to stay away. They are located in the outskirts. On the street you need to actively guard your stuff against pick pockets (as in every other big city).
We spent 13 days in the city, but should have stayed at least 21 days. We competed in a sport-championship, visited several musea and the famous monastery. We ate in small local restaurants, but also took a lot of local food 'on the hand' (bought from local frituria's.
The graffiti and street art (performance, music, circus) is amazing. Like nothing you have seen before. Some experiences were really enchanting.

Bogotá is a great city to visit and eat great food for a good price. People are courteous and friendly. Shopping is a bit expensive. Always be on your toes though as there are hustlers such as taxi drivers preying on tourists. Lots of people ask for handouts, I believe these are foreigners on their way north. Always respectful though.
I really loved the facilites of the hotel, the rooms were excelently equipped, the personal served With excellence. The food of the restaurant was so delicious and the price was very good. Also I need to remark the attention of the reception team, of the restaurant team añd of the room maintnance. Finally I algo need to mention that the hotel is very well located in Bogota. I give a 100/100 to the hotel. I Will stay there again this week. I recomend this hotel to everybody visiting Bogota.
I had a wonderful stay at El Dorado Hotel in Bogota, Colombia! The breakfast selection was impressive, offering a variety of delicious options to start the day. The rooms were spacious with ample storage and surfaces, making it convenient to organize belongings. The hotel's location was perfect, providing a safe environment and easy access to great restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly, always ready to assist with a warm smile. Plus, the value for the price was exceptional.
The staff was very nice, kind and polite. also room was a big for us and we had everything we needed. our room was to the quieter side and we had no problem to sleep (many of our accomodations in Colombia were a very noisy). Bathroom was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. also we appreciate the possibility to leave our luggage in the luggage storage room after our check-out till our departure to the airport. Definitely recommend to stay when you are in Bogota!
This is one of a few design hotels in “zona rosa” in Bogota. All Furniture, decorations, architectural features come from Colombian designers and Arquitects. Trendy and Comfortable. Small tasteful and full of details bedrooms. The complementary toiletries are spa like. I had to ask to let me buy a body lotion because the smell was so fabulous. The staff, is cordial and helpful. The a la carte breakfast is great and the restaurant’s design is worth the visit.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at GH Bogota 100 and it was truly a delightful experience from start to finish. This hotel exceeded all my expectations, providing a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and impeccable service.
From the moment I walked into the lobby, I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The check-in process was seamless, and the reception team went above and beyond to accommodate my preferences.
Very close to airport. Public transportation Transmilenio is just at doorstep so to go to any place in the city is a breeze, unlike taxi or by car which is almost impossible in Bogota at any time of the day or evening. Breakfast buffet is very good with several options for hot items. When I think of soundproof, it is exactly like this hotel has tackled it, almost perfect noise insulation from outside and inside. Staff is always ready to help.
I visit Bogota, Colombia for the first time to celebrate my birthday and I loved my stay very much. They even surprised me by coming to my room with a birthday treat. That was really nice of them. Due to the country being shutdown on quarantine when I arrived, there really wasn’t much to do. I will definitely be coming back to full joy the beauty of this country. Thank You for everything!
Ok location, not a lot in the general area of the hotel but Transmillerno stop nearby allows a quick trip rip to airport or Bogotá city centre so avoiding the traffic.
Great staff, very welcoming. Rooms were clean and well maintained., really powerful shower in the bathroom.
Breakfast buffet was really great but would advise not to leave it to the last hour as food can run out.
The Chapinero District is among the safest in Bogota. Hotel located across the street from the Park Virrey. Lots of friendly folks walking their dogs. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Easy strolling and the people are among the best that I have encountered. Restaurants like Andres de Res and the Bombay Rooftop are great places to eat along with some lively entertainment
Dear I m specialist Engineer that the last 25 Years travel for work around the world I find in Plaza hotel Bogota one of the best service ever see . The complete staff are friendly and professional, the kitchen fantastic. The management must be proud of this staff . Thank very much for this two day. Stefano Moresco
Clean, comfortable, safe hotel right in the heart of the Candelaria neighborhood of Bogota. Perfect location, and the attentive staff speak English. We stayed there twice (at the beginning & end of our trip to Colombia) and will certainly stay there again.
Location is great in case you want to visit Bogota downtown. Gold museum nearby but also most of the other important parts to visit of the city center. Great (Colombian style) breakfast and very nice staff. I felt secure in the hotel
The hotel is very nice and comfortable. We had a good stay overall and would stay again if having a late arrival or early departure from Bogota airport. Breakfast was quite good but coffee and hot chocolate were not.
The apartment was amazing! Super clean and very modern.
The Kitchen is fully equiped with everything you need .
Internet works full speed!
I had a great stay here in Bogotá. Walking distance Parque 93 and Virrey.
The room was comfortable. Some of the staff were really friendly and helpful.
The drivers the hotel arranged were excellent.
Bogota and Colombia is wonderful. This hotel is a disappointment.
