Ameron hotel was great - it was clean and the room was comfortable. The location was fantastic - you could almost walk everywhere in the old town and just 5 mins from the train station and chapel bridge. Very convenient, and highly recommended esp for those thinking of visiting Rigi, Pilatus or Titlis. Go to these mountains early to avoid the crowd.

Beautiful old city.
Beautiful old city. Local people are very friendly for the lost and wandering tourist. If you’re into luxury shops, ornately decorated buildings and atmosphere, Luzern has it all. Fine dining restaurants but you can eat cheaper in a lot of smaller establishments. Close to the Pilatus, Titlis, Vierwaldstaettersee and those picturesque wooden bridges over the Reuss.

Lucern is one of the most beautiful city in Switzerland. Occasionally we stayed there during a Carnival (Luzern Fastnacht) . We enjoyed the show. The city itself is amazing. If you visit Lucern , don’t forget to visit also the Verkehrshaus.

We were weighing up whether to stay in Lucerne or Zurich and were so pleased that we chose Lucerne. The old town is beautiful, very safe and spotlessly clean. The train station is very central and the boats for the lake cruises are really easy to access. It was like being in a postcard picture with beautiful views everywhere. We found both the accommodation and food better value for money in Lucerne and would definitely recommend it for a 2-3 night stay.GabriellaUnited Kingdom

Just hop on the bus outside hotel and you are in the center in just 4 minutes . Switzerland is super expensive (don’t act like you don’t know it ) and Ibis Budget is definitely an excellent choice if you need no more that a bed, hot water and a cozy room. Breakfast was value for money. The stuff was super friendly and they helped lot ! Also the pass that they offer to everyone . Wow . Huge help and moneysaver! Thank you all guys :)

It’s beautifully designed, the food is excellent, it’s a short walk from the train station, and the hotel water is spring fed so you can drink right from the tap. They were gracious and let us check in early after a long day of traveling. The Anker burger was the best burger I’ve ever had. The breakfast was stellar and everyone was so kind. We will DEFINITELY stay here again if we are lucky enough to visit Lucerne again. 👏❤️
