The hotel is located on an ok location, not too far from the waterfall. We could easily get to the watrfall on foot.
The hotel even alloved us to leave our car on the parking after the checkout time.
They were friendly, the room clean, the breakfast sufficient.

The Rheinfall is a must see.
The Rheinfall is a must see. Many restaurants were closed presumably due to Covid. We had to eat in snack-bars except when we found a Pizza restaurant. The pizza was great. There is not a lot to see in Neuhausen itself apart from the spectacular falls, but there are many possibilities to walk on trails along the banks of the river including to Schaffhausen and accross a bridge to Furlingen. I would recommend staying in Schaffhausen and either walking to the falls or taking a short train ride to Neuhausen. Some of the trails have rather steep inclines so some older people may have difficulties. Neuhausen seems to be more a back-packers hotel location and accomodation is basic but overpriced, certainly where we stayed.

Biggest waterfalls in Europe - stunning!
Biggest waterfalls in Europe - stunning! Lots of options for taking everything in. The Neuhausen side of the falls is unrestricted - no payment required. But if you go to the Schloss Laufen side, you can get almost close enough to touch the water for the cost of a few francs. Eating options are limited and expensive, around the falls so visit after breakfast or lunch!

It is an impressive waterfall.
It is an impressive waterfall. You have to pay CHF5 to see it though. I suspect in the season it would be very crowded, and you only need a couple of hours. Worth it if it is not too far out of your way.

This is a very simple hotel, so don’t expect too much. But it is functional, it is clean, everything is working, and once it didn’t (lamp bulb needed to be changed) they fixed it the same day. There’s even extras - good variety for breakfast with eggs etc, good coffee, and they even bake their own bread, so warm croissants and whole grain buns each morning ! THe hosts are very nice and really make the effort to make it a pleasant stay
The room was very comfortable and cosy. The staff was very welcoming and the check-in was easy.
The location is very close to the Rhein fall which is only a 7 minute walk from the hotel.
The 2 beds combined made a sweet king size bed for me and my wife, and made our sleep really comfortable. The extra pillows were also a good touch.
Other friends stayed in a more central hotel and were bothered by noise of construction and the town bell while trying to sleep, but here it was so quiet; An excellent nights sleep is super important to me.
