Hotel was central to Ost train station (500 meters) and West city (700 meters. Hotel staff is excellent with any recommendation you ask. Especially Tea was very helpful with directions and restaurants. Mas in dining area was especially happy to provide ice each evening. The Hotel is very nice and breakfast was expansive and great.

Fantastic location next to the station. Great room plenty of space for 3 people. In reception free tea & coffee lovely when back in from a cold walk. Hotel is right in the town plenty of shops. Wonderful choice at breakfast. Staff couldn't do enough especially Doreen on reception plenty of knowledge of the area. Great help when planning our day. Thomas also on reception had a problem with the TV sorted out within minutes. Everything we asked was dealt with kindness and politeness.

Excellent stay! Carina and Christian we’re brilliant. Room was ready before check in. We arrived two hours early so just wanted to dump our bags and go but Christian checked if the room was ready and it was so he let us check in 2 hours earlier which was amazing. Both very friendly. We had drinks in our room in the evening and they always gave us ice and glass whenever we asked. Only fall back of this location is that the last bus to the hotel in Habkern from Interlaken west is at 7.05pm. If you miss that, the only way to the hotel is a cab which is a 19 min ride but costs 40th f. We got hit so beware. Other than that it is an amazing place to stay with amazing views and you also see the cows parade outside.saritaUnited Kingdom

Exactly what we were looking for after spending time in the nearby "tourist" areas. Gasthof Bären is the perfect example of the care and attention to detail that come with having the owners actively involved in the day-to-day operation of a hotel. Definitely not the fanciest hotel we've ever stayed at, but possibly the most warm and inviting.
