Tourist information ladies at info old city hall ..The one behind "The dude in the Nude" were very, no extremely, helpful -- not only for Fredericton but the whole of the surrounding area. Although some things were closed the self guided walking tour with well placed plaques, along with art galleries for the rainy times the trails along the river, & thebeautiful old homes and I got to Thurs.night market. Yes out of prov. free parking ticket. If you take your time lots to do . There are way toooo many choices for eating . Unable to tour play house -graduations going on ,the legislature was in a controversial uproare and something was going on at Christ Church Cathederal so didn't get to see the interior esp stain glass windows. Fredericton is a beautiful small City feeling in a great downtown location along the St. John River. It is filled with restaurants, artists shops and other shops. There are amazing walking/biking paths throughout Fredericton. There is a Farmers' Market every Saturday off Brunswick Street.

Fredericton is the capital of New Brunswick and the home of the University of New Brunswick and St. Thomas University. There are ample and good local bars and restaurants that demonstrate typical down-home hospitality and friendliness. Good bars include The Snooty Fox, Dolan's Pub and Rustico King West Brewing. It's an easy city to drive in and the downtown can be walked end to end in less that 30 mins (unless you decide to stop in one of the many cafes, pubs or restaurants).

This hotel is very close to many restaurants, shops and different activities they have during the summer. I particularly love the Saturday market they have every weekend just 2 blocks from the hotel. I visited a few things and was able to leave my car parked at the hotel and walk everywhere.

Love the main floor rooms when we're traveling with our dog. Really spacious and having the counter, sink and fridge as you enter the room is such a fantastic use of the space for all the things to land and not be in the way. This time we had adjoining rooms as we were in Fredericton for my Mom's celebration of life. Lots of seating for close family members to visit and reconnect without having to sit on the beds. This hotel is my go to every single time I'm in Fredericton. Waterslide for kids is always a big hit too.

The proprietors were so personable and professional and it was lovely to know they live on site with their family, enjoying the historic house as much as their guests, and bringing it back to such lovely condition. Having a pitcher of water in the room was a really nice touch and I loved the mature foliage and green peaceful setting overlooking the river. The location was convenient to various spots around town as well, and Fredericton seems like a lovely and convivial place to live!

We had a confirmed booking. When we arrived in the evening we were told that our room had been given to someone else and that there were no more rooms available. We were enraged. We were tired and hungry after a 7-hour drive and hotels in the area were also full. There was no reason for this. We had provided a credit card to ensure our booking would be safe and had received a confirmation email from booking.com. We were offered no assistance, only “Sorry”.

I chose Days Inn instead an AirBnB (that would have been more conveniently located downtown) is that Days Inn has a pool. I had a pleasant swim each evening, as well as a soak in the hot tub which is all I hoped for from the hotel, so I was pleased. The bed was comfortable. The shower pressure was great and consistently warm water. The mini fridge was a good size for storing drinks and snacks.

Throwback hotel. if you want to know what a hotel was like in the 70’s, this is it. Our room was an inside courtyard with balcony overlooking the enclosed pool, hot tub, and dining area. There was a chlorine smell when on the balcony, but it felt quite nostalgic to me; reminded me of my youth staying in the Park Motor Hotel in Niagara Falls back in the early 70’s with my parents.

The room is basic and small. AC a bit noisy. As it was a Saturday night, the hotel was full and doors slams were frequently heard. Beds were ok. Breakfast to go was correct. I guess carpets need to be changed as smoke odor was strong in the room.

We used Fredericton as a stop over on our journey so we did not have time to try other restaurants in the city. We ate both dinner and breakfast at the hotel and were very impressed with the food and the service staff. We will stay again.
