I have friends in Belleville so it is always a place I revisit as often as possible - due to covid it had been a while. I love coming back. For a newby there are lots of things in Belleville but also Prince Edward County is just across the bay - Sandbanks etc. Vineyards!
We gathered at the Boathouse restaurant - yummy food - great service - lovely location. ( friends from college days)
Belleville is a small city with everything you could need - no need to travel elsewhere - BUT Kingston is an hour away - lots of lovely towns in between.

It's a great stay if you wish to travel east on a long weekend and avoid the crowds. It's also close to the National Airforce Museum at Trenton. Be sure to stop by and take a look when you're in the area! Great for families with young kids.

Like many smaller towns/cities in Ontario, changing economic factors have strongly influenced its vitality. It's greater potential is evident in the improvements which have and are being made in reclaiming its waterfront with parklands and water access. An online list of top restaurants reveal a real weakness for tourists when fast food places dominate the listings. The rural region, especially Prince Edward County, has excellent roads, pleasant farmlands and forests which make for enjoyable driving trips. There seems to be an absence of printed and online material to support tourists in finding places to visit such as wineries, museums, shopping. This is also evident in the paucity of road signs to help visitors to these destinations. The nearby National Air Force Museum in Trenton is excellent but relatively unknown to many Canadians.

We stayed overnght in Belleville on the way back from Tobermory. We were doing a short jaunt in Prince Edward county, to see some wineries, an art gallery and sample some restaurants. It was the pervect place to stay as it was just a few minutes from Prince Edward County and a lovely drive with the bridges and water close by.

This hotel is very dated. The room furniture is very old.
This hotel is very dated. The room furniture is very old. The rooms are dark, windows don't open. The air conditioning is extremely old and loud. There was a lot of construction on the property during our stay so it was constantly loud. We were supposed to stay for 3 nights but checked out a day early because we couldn't stay there any longer. Honestly I do not recommend this hotel unless you are looking for something cheap and quick.

Belleville is a nice city.
Belleville is a nice city. Certainly has grown over the years from when I remember it from the early 60's. There are some nice older buildings that many would be interested in. Belleville is also a nice springboard spot for some nice recreational areas such a Picton, Sandbanks Provincial Park, boating on the Bay of Quintie, etc. There's lots to do. Even drives around the area are very nice.
The absolute best place to stay in Belleville. A home away from home. Great care and thought went into providing a comfortable and practical stay. Everything you need is provided, including laundry, toiletries, cooking, and entertainment+. Have stayed at all four of the properties and have not been disappointed. The cleaning crew does an outstanding job. Everything has been spotless every visit!! The owner/host is very reposive to questions or concerns and always pleasant to help.
The apartment is exactly as showed on pics. Very new facilities. It’s not only a place to stay but a lifestyle for you to experience. The owner is very quick at responding to your questions. They provide more value than a hotel stay. You can cook and wash your clothes. All kitchenware is ready to use, which is great for a family like us. They even have q-tips and makeup removal pads in the bathroom. Walking distance to restaurants in town. I would recommend it.
The reception are and check-in was professional, courteous and fast. The morning breakfast was very good, with helpful staff there to assist. The location is excellent. It is about a 20 minute walk to the downtown and harbourfront, and the hotel sits right beside the Bay Bridge, which is the access route to Prince Edward County.
Everything...the breakfast was very good and very organized pickup. The cleanliness was spotless and the beds were comfortable and more than enough shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. I always stay there when I go to sandbanks. This is the best hotel in Belleville.
First time staying in Belleville while visiting Sandbanks Provincial Park, great location near bridge and nice park by the water walking distance.. i wish outdoor pool was open!
Very comfortable beds! I would stay there again!
Location downtown was great for walking and the town is working hard to revitalize the core. Unfortunately there are a lot of homeless in the area but police presence was visible and we always felt safe.
The staff was friendly. The free included breakfast was very satisfying. Room was perfect. Only downer is the city is not familly oriented and lots of homeless people. Otherwise great hotel.
Location was great, very clean and modern. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast and nice clean hot tub and pool area. Rooms were fully equipped, clean and comfortable
Hotel facilities and great breakfast! Staff very close to offer support and replenish the items in the breakfast area. Also, great location and a free parking lot.
