Room is spacious, the mini kitchen was a great addition. We got a high floor with a window view to the city which was lovely specially at night. The free underground parking was definitely a plus. Breakfast was good, I just felt it should have had bacon, but there wasn't for any of the 2 days we spent there. One thing to notice though is that if you expect to walk downtown that is not very close. Make sure you have a look at the distance before or you can also find good parking downtown which costs around $2 for the entire day on weekends!

On the south bank of the Ottawa River, the Canadian capital Ottawa is a grand symbol of what the country stands for: bilingualism, civic pride and wonderful vistas.
Facing Langevin Block (the prime minister’s office) is the city’s most famous landmark - the Centre Block parliament building. Its tall central tower and circular parliamentary library make a great photograph from Gatineau across the river, which is joined to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Rideau Canal by a series of locks. Skating on the frozen canal is a highlight of the huge Ottawa Winterlude festival.
The city’s history is detailed in Bytown Museum by the locks. Opposite is peaceful Major’s Hill Park, overlooked by Château Laurier, a historic hotel named after a former prime minister. Also named after him is Laurier House, his seat of office. Other important national buildings include the Royal Canadian Mint, Supreme Court, and Rideau Hall, the Queen’s official residence when in the country.
The business district and Ottawa Convention Centre are in Downtown, and nearby shopping options include Rideau Mall and ByWard Market - the oldest farmers’ market in Canada and the area with the best nightlife.
Ottawa accommodation on Booking.com includes luxury hotels with pools, B&Bs with parking and apartments near the train station, all easily accessible from MacDonald-Cartier Airport.

We made the mistake of going to Ottawa in April as many places were closed until May. We made the most of it and went to other museums and were so pleased. The Diefenbunker was incredible and I highly recommend that as a MUST visit! Beautiful days made for great walks- city is safe and clean. Exceptional restaurants. Will visit again- in the summer!

I loved Ottawa! Such a clean and friendly city. It's a little quiet at times and in certain areas, but just make sure to look for the lively areas like Byward Market, Westboro/Hintonburg, and Bank Street. Transit is pretty good. Lots of great restaurants.

A city full of fascinating museums and government-related buildings, many of which you can tour.
Ottawa originally wasn't really on my destination list (a friend told me that stopping over for 1 day would be enough), but surprisingly I spent 3 days in the city and feel like I still had plenty left to see. You can tour buildings on Parliament Hill for free with advance reservation (eg: House of Commons, House of Lords, Supreme Court). There are also a lot of excellent museums like the Ingenium (science), Canadian Museum of History just across the river in Gatineau, National Gallery of Canada (art), and Royal Canadian Mint, just to name a few.
A great place to learn more about Canada, what it means to be Canadian, and gain a lot of cultural and sociological insights.

I loved Ottawa and I can contrast it with Montreal (which I did not like that much). Ottawa is a bit smaller, a bit cleaner, a bit streamline (aka you can find things much easier) and everybody speaks English (unlike Montreal)...
PS. If you like history or tanks, I recommend the Canadian War Museum...
The staff really went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great as it could be! We ran into some issues with parking at the hotel because we had a UHAUL with us, but the staff at the reception desk brainstormed a solution that solved the issues right away. We are very grateful for their kindness. Also, the hotel location is terrific because it is right downtown so you are able to really experience Downtown Ottawa at such an affordable price! We walked right to the Parliament Hill. Definitely recommend!
Will definitely stay here again. The staff were amazing and were so personable and helpful. This hotel has a wonderful breakfast offered with lots of seating and is not overrun with kids, like some other hotels. The rooms are spacious and recently updated. The gym facilities are terrific with lots of natural light and a variety of equipment (free weights, cardio machines, new cable machine). This is located close to the University and not far from downtown.
Our room was great, very spacious, with a very comfortable large bed.
Breakfast was delicious, with lots of options to eat, and quite a bit of space for eating.
The hotel location was very convenient for us, as we were able to walk to many downtown places, and sometimes even to Parliament. For Museums that were a bit farther away, the staff was very helpful in getting us a cab. We also enjoyed attending the Anglican church nearby.
The staff was very nice and helpful and there was always someone there.
My room was on level 9 and there is no elevator but I could leave my big luggage at the reception desk and just ask to get something from it when I needed it.
I really liked that there was a breakfast with fruits included and the location was amazing to explore byward market, downtown ottawa and parliament etc.
The jail tour was very interesting!
Our host, Pierre was one of the most friendliest, helpful people you could have hoped for. He always went above and beyond not only to make our stay comfortable but also to meet our travel objectives. The place itself is very homely and comfortable, and the location is within walking distance to downtown and key areas that you can visit in Ottawa.
This place was extremely great; super clean & tidy, spacious and equipped with everything, very well-located - just a few steps away from uOttawa campus and its LRT station), ~30 min walk to the downtown area and Parliament hill. I highly recommend it and will consider it for my next trip to Ottawa!
Everything was excellent, and the staff was very polite. The room was clean and well-organized. The hotel was downtown near the Ottawa Parlement building and very close to the tourist region in the city center, and you can walk for 10 minutes and see around the tourist building and neighborhood.
The view is great. Nice modern decor. Got a feel for living downtown Ottawa, didn't feel like a hotel. I could see myself living in a condo like this. Bed was super comfy the bedroom was nice and minimalist. I fell asleep fast here!
Good location. Especially for the price, within walking distance of Parliament Hill, Byward Market, around hotel, need to aware of your surroundings, but if you stay along St. Patrick Street when walking downtown, it is safer.
The room was very clean and had a nice view of downtown Ottawa. I stayed for three days and the cleaning staff was prompt in cleaning the room once. There was also a closet where I could store my clothes in.
The location is excellent, and the room is adequately clean. Everything else, however, is average. In fact, the hotel on the whole is a little underwhelming for a downtown Marriott in a major metropolis.
My king room was spacious, modern and clean. The bed was very comfy. I appreciated the complimentary bathrobe and slippers too! Well situated in downtown Ottawa.
The hotel had great facilities and was modern and clean. It was close to downtown Ottawa and we were able to walk. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable.
