Ate on Dupont Street - lots of casual places with character.
Ate on Dupont Street - lots of casual places with character. Transit very easy to navigate. Coffee and gelato excellent at Mizzica's. Would not bother with Hockey Hall of Fame - far too corporate and NHL -oriented.

It was over 40 years between visits to Canada and my first time in Toronto, it did not dissapoint. Toronto is a big city and you are spoilt for choice with where to stay. We stayed downtown as it was close to conference venue. You will want to spend time exploring the different neighbourhoods and if you get time, I would recommend a tip down to Hamilton and to Niagra. All serviced by the clean and reliable GO trains from Union station. Cose to the city I recommend walking through Kensington Market - which is a district rather than a market. On the weekend this place is heaving. You have a pletohra of great restaurants and a people watching paradise. Closer to downtown, a walk along King and Queen streets will reward you with street art, quirky shops, some of the best vintage stores I have been in and food options galore. Can also recommend a wander through Chinatown (Between Queen St and Kensington Market. The Distillery District is worth a look if you have time. The old distillery makes for an interesting backdrop to new residental buildings, shops, bars and restaurants. The UP trains from the airport (Pearson) to the city are your best option to get into the city. Around $12 and about 25 minutes - well worth it and a lot cheaper than taxis and Uber. Enjoy!

I am no stranger to Toronto as I worked for The City of Toronto at Toronto City Hall for 40 years. Toronto is an exciting City to visit. It’s so clean, the people are super friendly, there are so many different types of food and restaurants to enjoy, so many wonderful attractions to visit - a trip on the Ferry to Centre Island is a must during the warm summer months, the Aquarium, take in a Toronto Blue Jays game, walk to St Lawrence Market. Visit beautiful Nathan Phillips square anytime of the year. Make sure to spend a day at the Toronto Zoo too.!!!! Go to The Pint right across the street for a pint and some delicious food and hang out with all the Blue Jays fans!!!!

I particularly liked the waterfront parks, the Luminiere exhibit was lovely.
CN tower was so-so, but the Aquarium was excellent. The Princess of Wales Theater is a lovely, contemporary theater and the production of Les Miserables that I attended was fantastic. Food very good - particularly at Vagabondo Italian, and Dessert Lady coffee shop.

For non American / Canadians Toronto is expensive.
For non American / Canadians Toronto is expensive. For restaurants bars etc you can pretty much add 50% to what you think you are going to pay by the time the tax is added then the pretty compulsory tip (Gratuity)
Public transport is good and reliable and not too expensive.
Very nice two bedroom apartment in downtown Toronto. Whole apartment for about the same price as a 2 queen bed hotel room. Easy walking distance to the CN Tower and Union Station. Lots of restaurant choices and things to do close by.
Coffee and tea provided which was a nice touch.. Kitchen with dishes and cookware provided if you want to make meals.
Check in and out very easy. The staff provided timely and detailed instructions for key pick up and for checkout.
Wow those views! We were on floor 37 and it was easy to forget you were so high up until you looked out of the window. Downtown Toronto is spectacular by day and even more so at night. One King West is in a great position for exploring the downtown area and the hotel is a vibrant place to be at. Excellent food and service in the restaurant and the staff are great. I would definitely stay here if I visit Toronto again.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. When I first asked for directions to downtown I was provided with a printout tailored to the hotel - how to get to and from all the tourist attractions. As a first time visitor to Toronto, this was a life saver. Breakfast provided an adequate selection and tea and coffee were available 24/7. Room was very comfortable with a nice seating area to enjoy a nightcap.
A beautiful hotel nestled in downtown Toronto. The room was absolutely clean and had a luxurious feel to it. During my stay, I wasn't able to go out to eat, so I stuck with room service for my meals and I'm glad I did. The food the hotel served was some of the best room service food I've ever had. The staff who brought the meals were professional and courteous, making the whole experience even better.
Well. It's a great looking home 😄. Much more cozy than the hotels that I also stayed at during my stay in Toronto.
Location is amazing, house smelled great, self check-in and -out. Great price. Recommendations about transportation, shops, and other stuff in welcome documents.
Oh, and action figures! These were pretty cool 😎!
Would definitely book again when I'm back in downtown Toronto.
We stayed at embassy suites by hilton near Pearson Airport for our first night in Canada. The free shuttle bus was great and meant it was so easy to get to the hotel and also to pick up our hire car the next morning.. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and breakfast was great. We are planning to return before our flight home.
the location is amazing. It is in the Heart of Downtown Toronto with very easy access to nearby restaurants and shopping locations.
The staff at check in are very friendly and professional. The rooms are very neat and clean; however, I did not see an In-room dining menu in the room. I never found one throughout my 5 days stay at the hotel.
I loved the location (downtown Toronto), the market and Starbucks in the building and free parking.
The best part of the property is the excellent host and the beautiful condo. It was super secure, beautiful view and the host was very nice and responsive. I 100% recommend staying at this property.
This hotel is near airport. We booked this hotel twice (as we arrived toronto and we left toronto). There is a shuttle bus from airport to hotel every 30min. The beds are very big & comfortable. From airport there is train to union station (takes about 30min.) This time we had a room on 8th floor.
The location was good.
It's highly recommended for those people who were from far places of Canada and were just coming over Toronto to attend for their US visa interview at the US embassy.
The US embassy was just around the corner. It's 4 minutes walk from Rex Hotel.
This is an exceptionally beautiful hotel in downtown Toronto. I went to stay the weekend with my boyfriend and our stay was perfect. The staff was so helpful and kind and the lobby is absolutely gorgeous. Beds were comfortable and clean l, would definitely stay again.
This hotel is a hidden gem in the best location (downtown Toronto). The room had an amazing view of the lake and the city. The bed was very cozy. It was great to have a really big screen tv to watch (made the room more luxurious). We will book this place again.
The location is ideal for easy access to downtown Toronto and the Yorkville district (shopping, restaurants). The hotel is close to the subway, which we used frequently. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and efficient.
The hotel is in downtown Toronto offering access to public transport nearby as well as stores and places to eat just a walk down the block. The rooms were very comfortable, quiet, and clean. The staff were very friendly and quick in response.
the beds were super comfortable, the staff was great, the hotel was really
clean and had lots of amenities in a super great location near eatons centre and other cool
spots in downtown Toronto
Hotels in Toronto are expensive and the Alexandra used to be pretty reasonable. Now it is quite over priced for bare bones accommodation. It is in a good location for downtown.
Good price with free parking
the hotel located close to the interchange, so it's just about 15 min to toronto downtown
a big shopping mall with restorants nearby
Clean, quiet hotel/room. Good breakfast included in my price. Good location, close to the airport, not a long drive to Toronto downtown or Niagara Falls.
