It is a very nice place to do some sports activities and enjoy the nature at the same time. Bancroft is also a good starting point to go to the Algonquin Provincial Park. Although there are some good Restaurants in town, can highly recommend the Granite. Visiting Bancroft by car, I think, will be the best opportunity.

History and geology of the area is interesting.

History and geology of the area is interesting. Bancroft is a hub for the region; it has everything you need. It even has an amazing army surplus store. Excellent book store, rock hunting, museum (well worth spending some time), music in the park on Wednesdays and a great cafe run by volunteers, where money supports local youth and programs. And you should visit the Eagle's nest for a spectacular view. A lovely town to explore and spend some time.

Lots of common areas with seating.

Lots of common areas with seating. Pool was warm and clean, amazing options for breakfast. Key cards kept failing had to get them reset a few times in a two night stay. Friendly staff. Highly recommend eating at Dave's Place of you go for a meal.

Bancroft is a quant town, quiet and very friendly.

Bancroft is a quant town, quiet and very friendly. They have the basics of what you need - banks, groceries, restaurants/take-out, and great little shops up and down main street. Lots of opportunities to view wildlife going through scenic roads, lots of water access opportunities for fishing, swimming, boating, etc. Check out Eagle's Nest for amazing views of town and the surrounding area (York River, etc.). Millennium Park is also a great place to walk or have a picnic.

We had a lot of fun going to the different stores that we don't normally have in the big city. We ate at a couple of nice restaurants. The food was good as in BC cafe of course, his winter time so there's not a lot of stuff to do other than snowmobiling or something like that and we're not into that in the summer time. There's a lot more to do. I've stayed there in the summer time. Of course I didn't have any problem with the heat and summer time cuz you don't have to worry about that

A beautiful town set against the mountain makes for a lovely photo. Lots of quaint stores, parks, and restaurants. We ate supper at Bancroft Brew Pub. Highly recommended as the food was excellent. Eagles Nest lookout is lovely with lots of hiking trails. We were in Bancroft on a Wednesday and Thursday and the traffic seemed crazy for midweek. Business days are short in Bancroft with a lot of places not opening until 10 and closing at 4 or 5.

First of all, their breakfast is exceptional, but you have to book in advance to realize what I am saying. I also got a bonus surprise from the hostess by offering me a free Ontario Parks Pass to be used in entering Algonquin Provincial Park. The room is spacious, clean, and completely separates from the owner's family. The owner set a lot of rules, which happens to go with my style of living. I definitely have no complaints.

The location is very scenic and not absolutely packed and roudy on a main travel weekend (which was a request and key for my anxious dog I travel with). It's close to bancroft and the park which allows short trips to any outdoors stuff you may be interested in or a nice day in town. The staff are all lovely and very helpful and accommodating.

The staff was friendly. With Covid restrictions they did the best they could with available facilities. If you have to stay in Bancroft then this would be the place to stay. Location wise it’s convenient. Food and shopping all within walking distance. There are some pretty neat little shops to check out downtown.

Lovely view from the front of the property. The person who handled our check in was helpful and pleasant. Hotel was older, but the rooms were upgraded. I appreciated the hardwood floor in our room, as opposed to the dirty and smelly carpets that hotel rooms often have.

I liked the bed, it wasn't overly firm like most hotel/motel beds are. The location was perfect for my needs. While only there for one night, the short interaction I had with the few staff members there was quick, pleasant and courteous.

The property is value for money given the rates at which motels are renting out these days. The location is good at the edge of Bancroft downtown close to everything. The bed is comfortable and the room is a good size for a family.

Excellent breakfast - muffins, boiled eggs and good coffee. Good location - close to downtown. I could walk to the Bancroft Brewpub. We went to see the Fall colours, and took a picture at the motel (attached). Beautiful.
