Amazing city centre, beautiful architecture and neighbourhoods, feels safe, great day trips and longer excursions opportunities. Amazon forest trip is great for 3-4 days, not longer than that. The theatre at the city centre is brilliant. The bars around the neighbourhood are very nice. The city is full of energy. Easy to get Uber and bus. Various options for food.

Manaus is an amazing city with lots of sights to see.
The people are really friendly and even though some of them cannot speak English they will always help you.
It is good to speak some Portuguese though.
Don't listen so much to what other people might say about brazil. Use your brain and have fun.

3. 2 day tour for Predient falls -- was so full of live experiences that it is strongly recommended (again organised by Iguana Tours). The local hostel was just amazing for the 1 nite stay.

Manaus, the city itself has a few nice things but really it is the gateway to what is around for a tourist. Very friendly and helpful people, we didn't speak any Portuguese but people always tried to help us. Very easy to do many different activities around Manaus. The staff at Museu da Amazonia (MUSA)are great and full of knowledge, if you like that sort of thing which I do. It is incredible to have a city of 2 million people in the heart of the rainforest and the rainforest comes right up to the edge of the city. Find a guide who can speak English, if you need that, and you will have a great time.

It would take more than this page to describe the Amazon.
It would take more than this page to describe the Amazon. Don’t take the expensive scheduled tours but just walk or taxi down to the wharf and rent your own private boat, - a boat for 2 to 20 passengers. You can negotiate the price a bit. A 4 hr. or so tour by the captain was just about right. He knew all the best spots for interest and fun!

I was ignorent to think that one week is enough for this city 😅 There are many things to do and many places to go. Not only the nature is amazing but also there are many historic places and nice art galeries.
Sweetest staff ever!
When I sent to the rain forest, they took care of my things. When I came back heat shocked and burned because our boat got stuck in quicksand, they went to the pharmacy for me to get medicine. They are honestly the nicest.
Also this is definitely the best budget for central Manaus. They have air conditioning, the rooms are safe, it’s not a fancy American chain hotel, instead they arrange everything with so much love…
Pleasant surprise with this hotel, we had a suite with living room and balcony, this was very clean and the large bed very comfortable. Yes we had street noise but ear plugs sorted that out. Our view was looking over Manaus and the Opera House, which was only 2 blocks away with great restaurants, loved the square by the Opera House. Friendly and helpful staff, would recommend this hotel.
Absolutely nothing.
There were blood in the curtains, the room was smelly ( mothballs - naphthalene).
The room was extremely small, there were no space for a single person, imagine for two people. No room for luggage. The street is super noisy and the window doesn't close properly, so you are able to hear everything outside.
Will never stay in this hotel again.
The hotel is across the street from two excellent restaurants, 150m from a Carrefour and 300m from Manaus's best mall. The renovated rooms on the first floor that face the pool are classified as "deluxe" (which they are not), but the mattresses and showers are adequate, the A/C works and the rooms are close to the pool. The free Wi-Fi worked well.
All the staff at the Amazon Park Jungle Lodge were very friendly. They picked us up from our hotel in Manaus. Our room was extremely clean. I am a vegetarian and there were good vegetarian options to choose from.
We were given very interesting tours of the Amazon rainforest which was a memory of a lifetime.
Perfect location in front of the plaza and the Teatro (opera house) in the cultural centre of Manaus. The hotel had a colonial style charm and a great roof terrace from which you can get an excellent view of the plaza and Teatro and across the city. Brakfasst was good and staff very friendly and helpful.
We loved staying here. The room was spacious, with a wonderful view and small balcony. Nice hair products. Wide array at breakfast. No problem with WiFi. Restaurants and food court at the mall behind the hotel if you don’t want to go far for lunch or dinner. The rooftop pool was very fun.
a relatively new small hotel extremely well done in its public spaces and rooms. excellent restaurant for all meals. very good location in center of town near best sights to visit. reasonably priced with very helpful, competent staff.
This hotel is right in the city centre and you can easily go to Manaus Opera House and other touristic attractions. It is overall ok: decent breakfast, nice pool and lot of nice common spaces.
Tasty and abundant breakfast, quiet room (one of the quietest hotels I ever stayed in), amazing swimming pool, comfortable beds and pillows, comfortable temperature in the room, polite staff.
Excellent hotel, friendly staff, very helpful. Good facilities and the swimming pool on the roof was amazing with incredible views of Manaus. Loved being on the roof terrace.
Location and the uniqueness of the hotel. The common patio which looks over the main street was a great place to relax in the evening and what the events in the city go by.
