It is a nice place for surfing and partying.
However it is in most aspects very expensive (there are many similar places around that are cheaper).
Even the city itself charges for everything (parking, tourist tax), I would not have been surprised to have to pay to use the loo. In general I had the feeling there is a gold rush attitude but the service provided in return is insufficient. (Bad value for money).
However this is not true for all places, there were some pretty nice restaurants.
Probably not the best place for relaxed beach vacation.

The best was the climate, the water, it was so safe to walk around, a real relaxed beach town where everyone was having a good time. Great that it’s a non vehicle town, lack of traffic a big bonus. The longer we stayed the more relaxed we were. We loved it.

It was my second trip to Jeri and I would love to return.
It was my second trip to Jeri and I would love to return. The atmosphere is very low key, lots of food options, little shops to visit and the beach is glorious.
You can choose to just relax at the beach or take one of the many tours available.
Only issue is the lack of banks/ATMs, so you need to bring cash if you prefer to pay this way but many of the restaurants/vendors take credit cards. If you are traveling from outside Brazil, you will not be able to use your debit card even though it has a visa/Mastercard logo.

We love Jeri !!! Specially my daughters,9 and 10 years old . We did buggy activities both side (oeste and leste ) I recommend do the OESTE first since is more fun !! The LESTE side is more relax , swimming and visiting the beach clubs and holes !!
The village is very safe and the people is very nice !!
Bonus tip : take only light weight clothes , like beach wear and only sandals like HAVAIANAS !! Don’t forget sunblock and hats with strings ! Also there is no mosquitos in Jeri !!

The town if very charming and cozy.
The town if very charming and cozy. Plenty of good restaurants, bars, shops, small markets. Some restaurants can be a bit expensive, averaging the price of big cities like São Paulo.
Great offers of activities and short trips to surrounding areas.

Jericoacoara is so overrated... it is a victim of its own...
Jericoacoara is so overrated... it is a victim of its own success. Basically, it suffers from mass-tourism. Natives basically moved out and left their village to whoever wanted to make money from European and wealthy Brazilian tourists. One pousada next to the other, intertwined with restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Its narrow sandy streets are cloaked with buggies, pick-ups and quads. In the evening, it is a cacophony of loud music, be it live or blasting from speakers in the many bars and restaurants which attract a noisy crowd until very late. The National Park experience is very disappointing, because everyday there are about a thousand buggies, pick-ups and quads running up and down the sand dunes, many blasting loud music. The tours are planned around private "attractions" with entrance fees and expensive service.
Vila Kalango is a fantastic place to stay. Perfect location situated between the Duna Por do Sol and the main beach. It's an ideal place to stay to enjoy the beautiful Jeri sunsets. The room we stayed in was well equipped and very comfortable, with a huge bed and a lovely shower area. The wood cabin theme is very nice and a bit different.
The breakfast is wholesome and tasty with extra friendly staff keeping to covid guidelines at all times. We organised a transfer and a passeio with the hotel too which were both excellently handled.
Having a private pool on the balcony was lovely for the view and to swim in. We used it a lot. The view from the second floor ocean view was beautiful! Hotel was quite luxurious for the location and service was fabulous. Loved the little things like brigadeiro chocolates every evening. Breakfast was delicious and extensive. It has a nice location a bit away from the main, sometimes hectic areas but a short walk away, and the main Essenza hotel was very close to go to the pool and spa there.
Great location in the center of the town, staff are super nice and the bartendar at the pool bar was also super helpful answering questions and most importantly they make amazing cocktails. Pool is maintained clean, staff constantly picking up leaves over the pool. Check out the rooftop bar on the wkends, awesome view with sunset along with DJing~!
We loved everything.
The place is very comfortable, super clean and well located.
Danielle and Dolores were super attentive, friendly and helped us a lot with tours and the transfer from Fortaleza airport to Jericoacoara.
We could not have been better taken care of.
Thank you for your attention and great experience.
See you next time!
What is not to like? The location is perfect with a beautiful view of the sea while having a delicious breakfast. The staff is very friendly, especially Inácio, and helpful. They even made a special dinner, not on the menu, for me when I felt a bit ill. We will definitely go back to Casa na Praia when we return to Jericoacoara!
The property is very clean and staff extremely nice and attentive. We went during the pandemic where several of the stores were closed, but staying at the hotel was relaxing and there was enough to do. Although the hotel is rustic, it is also very luxurious and has everything you need.
I have been in a lot of hotels during my stay in jeri. (Wanted to see different things) The pool is fantastic and the rooftops are one of the bests in Jeri. My room was great and the host was a super nice and hospitable guy. Would definitely recommend to stay.
Wow 😮 an incredible hotel in an incredibly beautiful setting.
The view from the veranda to watch the sunset was something quite spectacular.
The service of the hotel staff was impeccable and everything combined to make a magical holiday.
The room is extremely clean and comfortable, the A/C helped a lot with the extreme heat from the city, the hotel is in the main street and 2 minutes walking from the beach, the breakfast is amazing and the staff treated us like royalty.
Very good location, quiet at night, good air conditioning, close to restaurants and other facilities.
Visiting Jericoacoara you don't need anything more than flip-flops and casual clothes, exotic drinks, very cheap costs, a paradise!
Amazing hotel with fantastic staff. Pedro on front desk was super helpful and communication was great at all times.
The hotel itself is perfectly located with great facilities. The spa team (Eleina and Michelle) were 10/10.
It’s a very beautiful green and calm place. The chalet are very cozy, clean and beautiful. Besides the staff, everybody in the “village Jericoacoara” is overfriendly ☺️
It’s definitely our place when we come back!
The facilities was great, good bathroom, nice shower, large room, amazing breakfast. One of the best hotels in Jericoacoara. Amazing cost benefit. I definitely recommend!
Beautiful house, very friendly hosts, nice home environment, delicious breakfast in a cafe nearby, good location close to the beach and Jericoacoara center
