I think my experience to the Bolivian side of Lake Titicaca would not have been complete without staying at the Las Olas. It was magnificent!
My room had a glorious view of the lake - the best of all in surrounding area.
Notwithstanding the enormous size of the room, everything was spotlessly clean. It had an amazing bathroom with hot shower, well-stocked kitchen with gas-powered oven (I could cook real meals if I wanted to), clean comfortable bed.
The design of the room and hotel in general deserves recognition - it's very different and a lot of fun to explore.
Friendly staff, held my suitcase after check-out.

We had a lovely double room with an outdoor roof terrace. The couple who ran the hostel were both lovely people! They supplied clean towels, soap, and toilet paper and offered to clean our room whilst we were out. Breakfast was really filling and they were so quick to prepare it, starting with a lovely coffee, fresh bread, fried eggs, and fruit salad with yogurt. They also helped us plan some hikes, change money, and sold water and snacks in the shop downstairs. Lovely stay

The town is a good stop between La Paz and Peru but is nice enough itself with good access to walks and Isla del Sol etc.
Really worth visiting the various Inca sites in town and around, including Inca Baths just outside, with its little museum and mummified body.
If you stay on Isla del Sol beware the slope up from Yumani harbour to the town, it is almost vertical.

Copacabana is a small town, not accessible by plane.
Copacabana is a small town, not accessible by plane. It has a nice feel, although there are lots of people who work for tourist companies and restaurants who will approach you to try to get you to use their services. They're friendly and not aggressive.
Our day trip to Isla del Sol was nice. We hiked to the temple and had wonderful views. On the boat returning to Copacabana we made a detour to a sort of makeshift restaurant. We were told we'd be there for 50 minutes. What most people did was choose a trout from the pools that were netted off from the lake, and it was prepared for lunch. The trout was the best I've had, but it was strange not to know we'd be going there.
I wanted to go to the Poncho Museum but couldn't find it. A local told me where she thought it was, but there was no sign indicating it was there. After wandering around town a bit, I stopped in at the Pit Stop Bakery, which had delicious baked goods, and good coffee.

Quite a vibrant place with lots to do and see.
Quite a vibrant place with lots to do and see. Take a walk up the Calvary to the crosses at the stop. Also Isla del Sol is a nice day out with a walk across the island. It took us about 3.5 - 4hrs to do. Male sure you have water.
Church / cathedral was lovely but strangely they dont allow you to take photos.
Yiikes forgot to say load up on trout whislt in Copa it was lovely.

Overrated town with little character.
Overrated town with little character. One big tourist trap with no diversity in activities or food. Dirty and unkept. Locals clearly don't value cleanliness.... Trash filled the streets. One day was too long to spend here.

It was busy while we were there, as it was the holiday weekend. It’s a nice town with a beatific cathedral. We visited a Isla Del Sol for one night which was amazing. Overall, 2-3 nights in Copacabana is more than sufficient.

This is probably Bolivia’s most underrated destination.
This is probably Bolivia’s most underrated destination. Mediterranean who?! The views here are stunning. Hikes at Isla del Sol, Cerro El Calvario, and Horca del Inca provided the most spectacular overlooks of the city. Worth the miles we walked and being out of breath!
We were sooo comfortable and happy with our stay here. It’s extremely modern and clean and looks better in person than the pictures. I’m OCD and even I was impressed by the cleanliness. A lot of hotels in the area look a lot older and more rustic but this place is brand new and contemporary. The service is also excellent. Every morning we had an excellent breakfast with freshly made smoothies, eggs, cheese, toast, jam, yogurt, cereal, etc. They also offer laundry service for 15 bolivianos per kg.
It has a beautiful view overlooking Copacabana's waterfront.
It has a lot of interesting architecture.
The staff was very helpful in our times of need, switching us to a room with functioning heat after a very cold night in a room where the heat wasn't working.
The staff also arranged for me to receive oxygen treatment at a nearby clinic, once the elevation finally wore me down and I began to have difficulty breathing.
The hotel has very good breakfast, the guy in reception is very nice, good view, and it is close to main square( i like to walk) the problem for us was the bed, it had a huge hole and it was not nice.to sleep, they have to arrange it, the hot water was fine, but when it is not sun finish the hot water and in my room the electric hot water was not working
What an amazing place! . On the edge of town but still close to the main square. Bernardo really works hard to make sure you have a good stay. The included breakfast is probably the best youll find (eggs, bacon, cereal, coffee/tea + juice and toast with jam). 100% recommend
Big room with great views
The bed was so comfortable and had a great sleep here
Rooms were quiet
Good location
Hotel was decorated nicely and had a lovely common area with free tea, water and cookies
Really loved our stay here and wish we’d stayed longer!
The location was perfect with stunning views of the lake. It’s such a unique place and we loved our room. The staff were so friendly and helpful. And we loved the local alpacas! Definitely worth a stop if you’re passing through Copacabana!!
Beautiful hotel with a lovely view of the lake from the balcony in our room. Breakfast included was amazing. Staff were very friendly, we could also leave our luggage there after checkout. There was also a living room to hang out in.
Spacious clean room with 2 beds with thick blankets to keep you warm at night. The staff of 2 ladies were very nice and helpful. They showed me the map of the city and explained where to find the best views.
Really warm, cozy and friendly place to stay. Great sized rooms, tv, private bathroom etc
Very friendly and helpful staff also they have pet rabbits out back.
Felt almost like the Budapest hotel 😅
It's a great location, you close to all the restaurants but to be fair, Copacabana isn't that big. The staff was extremely nice, the beds clean and you have a nice view from the rooftop.
The location of the hotel is a little far from the city center but is perfect if you want to rest they have also a good access to the lake, and it was very clean
Really lovely hotel in Copacabana, I have no complaints. The bed was very comfortable and the place is family run which you can feel when you stay there.
Amazing service. Beautiful property with lots of animals. I would recommend staying here as an experience in Copacabana. You will be well taken care of.
Really great hostel, friendly staff, one of the best breakfasts we've enjoyed in Bolivia. Offer laundry service and help with the boats to Isla del Sol.
