The staff were fantastic and friendly. The room was great and had a lovely view. The restaurant and cafe were great, but shouldn't be shy to serve traditional food. The city was a very compact and sweet city.
The city was a very compact and sweet city. I recommend it to taste the delicious pastries and meatballs of Bosnian cuisine. The fact that the city has two different architectures and structures, east and west, added a different atmosphere.

Sarajevo is an active attractive city
BUT:
Sarajevo is an active attractive city
BUT:
Too many places only accept cash. payment accepted by credit card is the exception. A population that does avoid tax this way is not a free democratic population.
Do NOT visit the Historian Museum, the building is falling apart, cold and dirty. The only history covered is 1992-1995 which is of course important but not the only history. Very disappointed this attitude of being stuck in the narrow past and being unable and unwilling to take a broader look.

Wow - what an interesting city.
Wow - what an interesting city. We joined a free walking tour recommended by our hotel, which we’d highly recommend: it gave us context to the information we read at the various museums. It is possible to eat pizza etc but we ate only Bosnian food…which was delicious. The Muslim run restaurant s obviously don’t serve alcohol but it’s very easy to have a drink before or after eating. We always felt safe and found the Bosnian people to be welcoming. We loved that a short taxi ride/cable car ride took us in to the ‘countryside’ where we hiked around the Trebevic mountain area and walked down to the city - amazing views….and all at such reasonable prices! One thing to note is that smoking is part of the Bosnian culture, including in many bars and restaurants, so if you’re not a fan take a little time choosing your eatery. A brilliant place to visit with so much more to offer than the war history. We definitely recommend!

It’s hard to describe, but there is something magical about...
It’s hard to describe, but there is something magical about this city & its people. It is very walkable & good for exploring on your own, but I would recommend a tour. Also, be mindful that the obvious nightlife wraps up around 1 or 2 am, but I have been told there is a late night scene. Also, make reservations for restaurants, especially on the weekends even if it is just lunch. Enjoy!
Valida, together with her husband, is demonstrating you what true Bosnian hospitality looks like ! You will feel like at home from the second you enter this lovely family run hotel. We spent an amazing weekend in Sarajevo, their amazing breakfast (which they fully prepare by themselves) is just superb, in every other details they always make an extra mile ! I am highly recommending the place and I know where I will stay on my next trip to Sarajevo !
I visited Serajevo and booked for 1 night at Kandilj Hotel, where I really enjoyed my stay! The hotel is amazing, very clean, tidy, well decorated with traditional style and the hostess was very friendly! Breakfast buffet was amazing and had everything for everyone! The women in the kitchen was also very kind and served me the famous traditional bosnian coffee! Overall, I'm very happy with my stay, I recommend this hotel!
It was great staying here and the owners were very kind. I ended up booking this place last minute when the other place I booked very closeby turned out to be unacceptable to stay. The owners got the place ready for me in less than 10 minutes and very attentive. The flat was super clean and easy walk away from everything. They even kept my bags for as long as I needed to and made suggestions. Highly recommended!
The apartment is beautiful and big and it is located in the center of the city .I am very impressed. Everything is new, clean, comfortable and warm.. In the simplest terms, it is really luxurious for the booking price. I also had a parking space. The owner is very helpful and wants everything help and guide about Sarajevo. I am very satisfied and Happy. Recommendation for all members ♡
VERY nice and modern building. Lobby was small but very nice and luxurious, especially for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Room was very clean and well-lit. Mini bar was a nice touch and had reasonable prices.
My favorite part of the room was actually the bathroom--so clean and modern with a LARGE shower and appropriate toiletries.
Bed was comfortable and I did not notice too much noise.
This booking hotel was one of the best so far! The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. The bed was really comfortable, breakfast was verstile. I liked that you can use the coffee and juice machines during your stay at any time not just for breakfast. The location is just 2 minutes away from the city centre! I would highly recommend it!
A great little family run hotel if you want to explore the old town of Sarajevo this is a really good option to stay at, great hosts, very friendly and very attentive. Keep in mind going back on foot from the old town its quite a steep climb uphill for about 500 meters so its definitely something to keep in mind when booking
A very nice experience, the place is elegant and luxurious, the view is beautiful, everything you need is available in the hotel apartments, you rate it Seven Star. Dealing with them is very nice and smooth. They were fine in dealing. I hope anyone who travels to Bosnia will try this hotel apartment. Thank you.
We initially booked 2 rooms, but upon arrival only 1 was available. The staff was very helpful and swiftly organized for us another room at a location very close to the hotel. They were also very helpful in the logistics of moving us between the hotel and the parking location.
Extremely clean and well maintained rooms. Bed was super comfy. Bathrooms were great. Location isn't far away from all kinds of convenience stores. Great deal for sure if you book it at the right time. Host was also super friendly. All the beds had its own plug point
Hotel is located 1 min on foot from the famous Sebilj Cesma. The serve superb Bosnian pitas as a part of their buffet breakfast. The staff is very kind and helpful. Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. I will definitely return when I visit Sarajevo again.
Great room, with perfect breakfast and this is value for money. As I saw the facilities, this is really a family-friendly hotel, which is great for Sarajevo. I would recommend staying here to any traveler coming to the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
I admit I booked this hotel because I was nervous about where to stay in Sarajevo. The hotel was just what I needed—a quiet, quality stay near landmarks. The staff was friendly and helpful (great restaurant recommendations). And the breakfast was ideal.
The hotel is quite modern with interesting ethno touch. The staff was really nice. We could also park in front of the hotel for free. The breakfast was tasty and we could get traditional Bosnian coffee or tea whenever we wanted. Highly recommended!
Breakfast was very nice, staff was exceptionally helpful and kind, position of small hotel is city center, old town, room was warm and comfy. Could not ask for more. Superb. Will surely come again. Thank you for warm turco-bosnian hospitality.
Stayed here during my motorcycle trip through Bosnia. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, free parking spot and there was even breakfast included in the price.
The Hotel was beautiful and we got an upgrade on the room we booked which was very nice and appreciated. The gentleman a the reception desk was most polite and helpful.
