The fact that we were able to arrive early, was done in such a spectacular manner. They used it as a training situation for the lovely new employee Lea,and the way they took care with her and the way she just probably did everything was just a blessing. Would definitely recommend this if you need a place close to the airport to just fly out on your early Vienna flight.

A boutique Pension in a quiet corner of suburban Vienna, Sprinzl offers good quality for any traveler who appreciates Austrian hospitality. The cold breakfast buffet is extensive by European standards. A small elevator is useful for bringing bags up & down. Rooms are scrupulously clean.
I had a chance to speak briefly with Frau Elizabeth, and enjoyed her attitude: she was open on a holiday (May Day) because she wanted to be able to welcome guests: had she not wanted to be open, she would have closed. And welcome guests is what she does: could she order a taxi for me? Could she help with anything?
What may be useful for arriving guests: it appears, subject to availability, she can arrange early check-in for those arriving in the AM who need a space to relax before moving on.

Gateway to Coffee and Cake
Schwechat is a small city just inland from the lush southern banks of the Danube River and is home to Vienna International Airport. Fast trains, S-Bahn underground trains and buses connect the airport to the Austrian capital, so you can be enjoying coffee and cake in no time.
The A4 motorway links the airport to Vienna via Schwechat. Just off it is an oil refinery (one of the city’s main industries) which makes a much prettier sight than you might imagine when awash with bright lights at night. Nearby is the Schwechat Railway Museum and the Austrian Aviation Museum is also within the city.
The New Museum details the city’s heritage in a building overlooking Felmayergarten park. A few streets away is a river and another green space on the other side surrounds private Rothmühle Castle with its bulb-like towers. Kaiserebersdorf Castle is an even simpler structure and between them is the Schwechat Brewery which serves local beer alongside tasty delicacies.
In the countryside between the city centre and airport is a golf course, but despite all this, it’s the Schwechat accommodation that is the real draw. As well as airport hotels with shuttles, there are guest houses and apartments with parking that are cheaper alternatives to those in Vienna.

Overall very good stay. Staff awesome! The shower should have a door as water ends up all over the bathroom floor. Should have a place to get something to eat in the evening. Some repairs need to be done like bathroom outlet and shower light.

There is not much to see here and our booking was...
There is not much to see here and our booking was intentionally made here due to its proximity to the airport. If you have issues walking take a taxi. We took the train and walked around 1 km down past the OMV refinery complex and over the A4 to get there. Once we got there though it was a quaint little town or rather village. Comfortable and clean rooms. Would be good to offer complimentary waters in the room or have option to purchase downstairs. However, having arrived late after a flight, it may have simply been an oversight. Coffee / tea option in the room is available. We left early the next day so didn't need to make use of any facilities but seems a way out of Vienna central. Taxi trip into Vienna train station was EUROS 27.30 for 5 people.

There is a great restaurant walking distance from the hotel. Room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable. Shower was great. Great place to stay the night before flying out of Vienna or if arriving late at night and looking for something close to the airport that's reasonably priced.
