We arrived in the hotel a few days before end of the season. There were only a few guests in the hotel, we nearly had the whole spa and saunas for ourselves! The staff was really nice, we never had the feeling of being "the unwanted last guests right before season ending". The new sauna and spa area is spacious, very clean. Our highlight was the lake sauna with a great view on the Klopeiner See. The rooms were tidy with modern bathrooms. Breakfast was plentyful.

This family-run hotel right at the shore of Lake Klopein offers a lakeside sauna and a terrace overlooking the lake. 3 piers and a big lawn are available for sunbathing. The restaurant serves regional cuisine influenced by our nearby countries Italy and Slovenia. After dinner you can linger in our lounge where you will be taken care of by our barkeeper. You'll have LAN access in all public areas free of charge. From 2023 you'll experience our newly renovated spa area. It provides not only the familiar facilities such as sauna with panoramic lake view, steaming bath and a herbal bath. But it will be extended with an in- and outdoor pool area and a whirlpool. Should you wish to book a beauty treatment or massage you can book an appoitment with the reception and will then be taken care of by our well-trained team. Hotel & Spa Sonne offers bicycles for guests‘ use, a weekly sports and leisure program, and green fee reductions of up to 49% at the Klopeiner See-Südkärnten Golf Course, which is 1.6 mi away. Klagenfurt is 16 mi away.
